A LO from me?

I was actually able to craft a bit over the Thanksgiving weekend, it was great. Tony had both Thursday and Friday off and he wasn't stressed about having to get any homework done so I got crafty! LOL! I saw the design for this LO originally on Kristina Werner's blog. She does these Basic Inspiration classes over at Basic Grey and also posts them on her blog.
That is a picture of my pretty pretty princess, Isabel, at 6 months.

I used the Happy Together collection pack from Fancy Pants. I used one of the solid pieces of paper in the collection and used one of the transparencies. I really didn't know which adhesive or glue to use so I ended up using the Tombo Mono liquid glue and yeah, that didn't work. I thought it would dry clear but it didn't. You could totally see it through the transparency. So in the end I trimmed off the edges and adhered it to a Kraft 12x12 background. I used some silver brads from SU's HodgePodge hardware kit. The flowers are from Artfuldelight's November kit. I punched the butterflies out with my SU butterfly punch.

Be sure to check back tomorrow. I will have a LO to share with you that DT member Debbie created using Decembers monthly kit. Also tomorrow the kit will be available at Artfuldelight. You can get your hands on one for a single month price of $27.99 plus shipping. There are actually only 2 available already so make sure you get yours before it's too late.

I will leave you with a picture of my lil man Max, enjoying our pancake breakfast Sunday morning! :-) I can't believe he will be a year old in a week. Yikes, my baby is growing up!

Winner and a Giveaway

My internet was down from yesterday about 6pm until this morning until 9am, so I am a little late getting this posted.

We have a winner of November's sketch challenge. First I would like to thank my DT for getting the word out about the challenge. I had several extra entries this month and they were ALL FABULOUS. I am so thankful I use random.org to pick the winner otherwise everyone would be getting the monthly kit. LOL!

Everyone that entered created fabulous cards and LO's. But random.org has chosen the winner and that is:

Isn't that LO fabulous! Thank you to everyone that entered. I will have the new sketch posted on December 1 and I hope everyone plays along again!

Other news if I have some giveaways. That's right I said SOME. I am not sure how many yet but basically it is a combo between a de-stash my stash and just a bunch of stuff I have. I have a stack of stuff to giveaway, lots of pattern paper, some stamps and just a bunch of stuff. The winners will just receive a box filled with goodies. I may take a pic of just the large stack of stuff and post it but that won't totally be accurate because it will be divided up between a couple winners.

With that said, leave a comment to enter the giveaway. Just for fun in the comment, let me know some traditions you do during the holiday seasons. It's not required but if you would like to, please become a follower and/or spread the word on your blog. That's it! This giveaway will end on Dec 17th at midnight EST.

Don't forget to check out the 40% off sale at Artfuldelight!

Happy Sunday

Hello my friends. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I also hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend.

My oldest daughter came home from her dad's yesterday. It was quite a day. My youngest daughter, Isabel (she is 2 1/2) woke up pointing to her belly saying "boo boo". I didn't know if maybe she was hungry and mistaken the growling for pain. Well within about 15 min of being up she got sick. Tony was already on his way to work so I was a bit stuck. She seemed ok after getting sick so we made our way to the airport.

The trip is about an hour to Dulles, then making our way through the airport, she seemed perfectly fine. It wasn't until the ride home before she started complaining again. Half way home she started throwing up. Poor lil girl, I felt so bad for her. Now we live in Virginia and the way we took home was going up and down through the mountains so I am wondering if she just got car sick. Both kids (Isabel and lil Tony) were complaining the whole way home. It was a long morning. Anyways, she must have been ok because she didn't get sick the rest of the day and kept her food down. Hopefully tomorrow will be ok. I won't be able to handle if everyone gets the flu. :-(
Here is a picture of my pretty pretty princess. She looks ok there but in about an hour she is not doing so well. :-(So today I have 2 projects to share with you that DT member April made using Artfuldelights November Monthly kit.

The first one is a Blessings Journal and the second one is a Thanksgiving Mini Album. They are both fabulous projects, but I really love the second one. For details on these projects please visit April's blog.

Be sure to check out the sale that is going on over at Artfuldelight, select items are 40% off. Also there is only one November kit left so if you haven't gotten your kit yet, be sure to do so before they are all gone.

Tomorrow I will showcase the winner of the November sketch challenge. I hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday!

Happy Friday!

Hello everyone! Today I have two cards to share with you that I made. Yesterday was a bit overcast but I was able to get some decent pics, better than if I had taken them inside.

The first card I made most of it a while back but I never added a sentiment or anything. So last night I just heat embossed some black powder and added the embellishment and called it done. The second card I made for my cousin, she had a baby a week ago. Yeah, better late than never, right? I made it to participate in Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #93 over at The Sweetest Thing. The image is from Squigglefly, it's called Bundle of Joy. I printed and colored that image at least a half dozen times. The color kept bleeding when I used the blender pen. So I ended up opting for some paper piecing. I really like the way it turned out better than the colors I chose to color it in anyway.
I have no baby boy PP so I bought some single sheets from my LCS. The twine is from the November Monthly kit and the buttons are a sneak peek from December's kit. I will have the reveal of December's kit on Monday.

LOVE it!

I am an idiot. I was supposed to share two projects with you today and I completely forgot. Not sure what I was thinking but I have a card to share with you that Courtney made. Now I would like to say that I got a little teary eyed when I received this card in the mail. I will explain because it may sound silly.

Short story, I hope. (lol) I have moved a lot in the past 12 years and I really haven't been able to meet any people that are decent people. That may enjoy crafting or just enjoy the same things I do. The greatest people I have met over the years have been all you ladies in the craft world. Crafters are THE NICEST people out there. I have made some really great friends in the bloggy world, I have learned a lot and just met a lot of amazing people.

What saddens me just a little is I will probably never meet any of you fabulous ladies. The fact that people I will never meet and only have a friendship through email, think enough of me to make special cards for me. To think about me and say nice things about me to their family.

I think about this often but the card I received from Courtney made me think about it in a whole new way. It was my first card I received "just because". Don't get me wrong I LOVE every card I have received, I have them all displayed in my lil craft area.

So anyways here is the card, Courtney used the November kit from Artfuldelight. And that card is even more awesome in person! Courtney did an amazing job. Every time I see her projects it makes me want to go create something using my Cricut. For all the details about this card, please visit Courtney's blog!

Fabulous Wall Hanging

Good Morning! I have been wanting to share some cards I made with you but since the weather has been cold, rainy and windy here I have not been able to take pics. I am hoping to get some pics tomorrow. :-)

Today I will be sharing with you a project that DT member April created using Artfuldelight's November Monthly Kit.

Be sure to check out April's blog for details about this fabulous project.

The Duck Whisperer

Hello bloggy buddies! Happy Wednesday. Yesterday was a really great day except for having to drive an hour each way in the rain up and down the mountains to take my daughter to her Ortho. I was so trying to get pics of the trees, OMGoodness they were beautiful. By the time we got home it was nap time for the two lil ones.
Since it was a cold, gloomy rainy day, my lil man Tony and I cuddled in bed and watched movies and both ended up falling asleep for about an hour together. What a better way to spend the afternoon than cuddling with my son. Well it would have been greater if daddy was home and the 2 lil ones were old enough to cuddle in bed too. They just don't sit still. LOL!

Well today I have a LO to share that Jamie made. She used Happy Together collection pack from Fancy Pants. This one is sold at Artfuldelight but we are currently out of stock. Will be available really soon.
Fabulous LO, I really love the colors in that collection. Well I hope y'all have a great day!

A LO and a few cards

Yesterday started off like no other day. I woke up, got my travel mug of coffee and drove my daughter to school. I came home and ate breakfast with the rest of the family and then I locked Tony in his room (make sure the kids don't bother him) so he could finish some homework that was due by 7pm. I hung out with the kids, then at noon I got ready for school and an hour later I was on my merry little way. Attended my Accounting class, had my 2 hour break and then attended my Math class that started at 5pm.

Tony then met me up at school with the kids like he always does because our classes are so close together I wouldn't make it home in time for him to drive to school. When I get to the car my Lil Tony is holding his belly and saying he was full. He usually says this when he has to go #2. So Tony proceeds to take him out of the car so I can run him in to the bathroom. Within seconds he starts puking. He got it on Tony's shirt and all over himself. I was informed just seconds before this happened that he had gotten in to the Flinstone's vitamins and ate a few (like 2-3). Child safety cap my butt!!! Now we are not negligent and they were on such a high shelf that even I can barely reach it. Not sure how he got up there because it wasn't like it was in a cabinet and he could have climbed on the counter it was a free standing wire shelf we installed on one of the walls since we have a small kitchen and no room for boxed food and canned goods. So after all that, he had gotten sick because of the few vitamins he ate. After he got sick in the parking lot he was fine. We came home, he ate 2 pieces of bread and then insisted on having some spaghetti. He scarfed it down and then was bouncing off the walls the rest of the night. I didn't mean for the story to be so long but that was how my evening ended. He is fine now and new lesson learned. Lock medicine/vitamins in safe. :-(

Now on to the fun stuff, the crafty projects. Ooooh you guys are gonna like these. I have quite a few pictures to share with you today. One will be a LO that Debbie created and the others are of a card set that Courtney made. Both projects today are FABULOUS! That is all I can say about them, well I could say more but I think that one word sums it up. :-)

So fabulous! I just love all of them. I haven't had a chance to play with the kit yet but just seeing all these fab projects that are created using the November Monthly Kit is totally making me want to sit down and craft with it. LOL! Hope y'all enjoyed.

Sweet Dreams

Good Morning! Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Mine was pretty uneventful and mildly relaxing. I got some housework done and some homework done. So I guess it was pretty productive. I also ran some errands. Is my life exciting or what? LOL! I cannot believe next Thursday is Thanksgiving. This year is coming to an end quickly and I just can't believe it. Unfortunately my oldest daughter will not be spending the holidays with us. Thanksgiving she will spend with her dad and his side of the family. Christmas she will be spending with my parents and the rest of the family in IL. Makes me sad I won't be able to make it but Tony can't get the time off work.

Anyways, today I have two projects to share with you. The first one is a LO that Jamie created using the November Monthly Kit. Seriously there is so much in this kit, you can create so many wonderful things. Elisabeth, our GD made 5 LO's and she may have had a little left over to make something else. Our DT member Debbie will have made 4 LO's and a card and if you have seen Debbie's fabulous LO's you will see she likes to layer and she still had plenty to make the 4 LO's with a little left over for a card. In addition, included in the kit is a bottle of Glimmer Mist and Stickles. Those will last much past the 4-5 LO's that can be made. So this kit is worth the money, get your hands on it while there are still some available. :-)

What a doll! She is too cute. And that LO is fabulous!

Up next is a card I made for the Waltzingmouse Sketch #23 challenge. I have never played along at Waltzingmouse but when I saw the sketch on Alice's blog over at Alice's {Little} Wonderland I knew I wanted to play along.

I used Basic Grey's Jovial collection for the PP on the card. The 6x6 paper pads are available at Artfuldelight.
The holly is a sneak peak of an item in the December Monthly Kit. I used some Stickles and colored in the "peace". That sentiment is the Christmas Wonder stamp set from Practicing Creativity Designs, also available at Artfuldelight.
I just realized that I can also enter this card in the Wee Memories challenge #31. The theme is "dust off that patterned paper."Happy Crafting!!

Beautiful View

Good Morning and Happy Sunday. Today's post will be short and sweet. I am sharing a project with you that DT member April created. This LO is very beautiful even in its simplicity.

April used the papers from November's Monthly Kit. I really am going to have to get that butterfly punch.Be sure to check out April's blog to see her post and what she has to say about her LO.

I will have another fun filled week ahead with great projects from our DT as well as myself so be sure to check back during the week. Also I think I smell some giveaways in the NEAR future. I know I want to tie it in to Christmas somehow, meaning there will be more than 1 giveaway and I am just trying to figure out how many and how close to Christmas I should start. The items included will be a variety of de-stash my stash and new stuff. But I can assure you, you will like them.

Limelight Papercrafts: Sketch 60: Pattern Paper

Good Morning! I am so excited because school is winding down for this semester. All I have left in most of my classes is the final. 3 more weeks of lectures and then the finals, with minimal homework. If I can pat myself on the back (of would that be wrong?) for a minute when I say that I got really good grades in my classes. Well so far at least, the finals will tell all though. LOL!

Other good news, my Lil Max took his first step the other day. Well he stepped towards the couch and then leaned on the couch. He keeps standing and trying to figure out what to do next.

And now on to the crafts, I was excited to play along with Limelight Papercrafts this week, I have seen the challenges on Karen's blog, The Bald Dragonfly, but I have never had a chance to play along. When I saw the challenge and the sketch I knew I wanted to play.

I really like the way this card turned out and it only took me about 30 minutes to make and that was really only because I cut the sentiment shape out on my Cricut. The PP is from Basic Grey's Jovial collection and I have the 6x6 paper pads available at Artfuldelight at a new low price of $4.99. :-)

The sentiment is from Practicing Creativity Designs, Christmas Wonder stamp set. Love, love love it. The wonderfully talented Karen from The Bald Dragonfly designed the set. This set is also available at Artfuldelight.

So I think I found the perfect spot to take pictures outside. Now I know everyone probably knows the importance of natural light when taking a picture and I have mentioned before that since I craft at night I photograph at night. Well last night I took a picture and it was just horrible. I didn't realize how horrible it was until I took a picture outside today and OH MY, did my pictures SUCK before. I can't guarantee great pics like this all the time (it is almost winter and I am not sure I will take pics outside if it is snowy or any colder than 32 degrees, lol) but I am just shocked. I am so embarrassed but I am going to show you the indoor, at night picture.
Eeekkkkk! What a ridiculously ugly photo. I am so sorry that is the quality photos that I would share. I will do my best not to use pics like that anymore. LOL! On a good note, with this card, I am at 3 Christmas cards so far. That's right 3! LOL! Sheesh, I better get busy or I will never be done to mail them out for Christmas 2010. LOL!

Anywho, be sure to enter my sketch challenge.

Day 5 - Guest Designer projects

Happy Friday! Although it is Friday and I am super happy, it is sad to say that this is the last day of projects from Elisabeth. I was so happy that she accepted the GD position and she has certainly done amazing work this week.

Today's LO is no exception to her amazing talent. She really rocked out the November kit. So we should all make sure we stop by her blog and give her some comment love. :-)

I LOVE love LOVE those Prima Flowers!!! Elisabeth did a fabulous job all week and we certainly would love to have her back again! :-)

Just a couple reminders, don't forget to enter Wee Memories Birthday Bash Scrappy Saturday challenge (ya know the one I am sponsoring, wahoo) it ends tonight at 11:59pm PST.

Don't forget my sketch challenge, upload your project for your chance to win December's monthly kit. :-) I also wanted to mention because someone asked, it doesn't have to be a LO, it can be whatever you want it to be as long as you use the sketch.

And finally I have added a bunch more Thickers at Artfuldelight. Be sure to check them out. :-)

Hope y'all have a fabulous day!

Double dose

Good Morning! Boy oh boy was yesterday mentally exhausting. Even though my essay only took me 2 1/2 hours to type up, when I was done I was mentally drained. Then I had 2 hours before my Accounting class so I did some homework, then sat through my class, had a 1 hr 45 min break then had my Math class. By 5pm I was done, mentally, but I still had to sit through the class. Thankfully he finished early, really early. We were done by 6pm which was 40 min early. :-)

Oh was I thankful to finally be going home.

Now on to the fun stuff, I have another project to share with you from Elisabeth and I also have another LO to share with you that DT member Debbie made.

First up is Elisabeth's card. It is a tri-fold shutter card.
WAHOOO! Isn't it beautiful!!! The PP in November's kit is absolutely fabulous!! Elisabeth did an amazing job on this card, just amazing!

Next up is Debbie.

WOWZA, absolutely gorgeous. These ladies are just so talented, I can't seem to say enough about how fabulous these projects are. Please make sure you stop by each of their blogs to leave some comments and to see more of their amazing work. Click here for Elisabeth and here for Debbie.

Get your hands on November's Kit before they are all gone. As you can see with Elisabeth's projects she was able to make 4 LO's and a card and I think she may still have some supplies left. The kit comes with Stickles and Glimmer Mist, I know that will go a long way. This kit is amazingly prized and packed full with fabulous products.

Day 3 - Guest Designer projects

Happy Wednesday! So today is going to be a long day. I will be at school from 8:30am-7pm. Yikes. Unfortunately I have an on campus essay due. I am really not looking forward to it. I need to just get it over with, lol!

First I would like to mention really quick that I have some new adhesive packages from American Crafts. I really like their runner adhesive. For the holidays they came out with a 3 pack, value pack. If you have never tried it, now would be the time. The packs I have available in the store are Dot Runner adhesive + 2 refills and Solid Runner adhesive + 2 refills which would cost $8.50 each. Just the adhesive runs about $5 each and the refills are $4, so retail to purchase each separate would cost $13. Purchase the value pack and purchase from Artfuldelight and you will get a $4.50 savings. Then I also have Dot Runner 3 pack refills that would cost $7.50. Which ends up also being a $4.50 savings. My personal fav is the Dot runner (that's why I have more of that stocked) Be sure to check it out!! :-)

Now on for more good stuff, I have another LO from Elisabeth. Another beauty! LOVE the PP in this kit. Just beautiful. OK I will be honest, when I first saw the frame around the pic I thought it was drawn in and I thought it was totally cool. When I was getting the picture uploaded I realized that Elisabeth used the twine included in the kit to make the frame and NOW I think it is EVEN MORE AWESOME! What a creative idea! Absolutely fabulous LO! Check out Elisabeth's blog to leave some comment love.

Day 2 - Guest Designer project

YAY, I am back to share more projects with you. I hope y'all enjoyed yesterdays LO. Did you like my friend Maude? LOL! Anywho, today I have another LO and card to share with you. First up is a LO that GD Elisabeth made.

Absolutely beautiful! Elisabeth used the November Sketch to create this LO. For more information about this LO please visit her blog.

Next up is a card I made. I was so happy to be able to use one of the Prima Flowers from November's kit.The image is a digi from Chi Chi Memories. I colored it using my PrismaColored Pencils and a blender pen. The sentiment is computer generated. I used the twine, Prima Flower and Stickles from the November kit. The card shape I cut using my SCAL program and Cricut.

That PP is actually from Cosmo Cricket's Matilda paper pad (available at Artfuldelight). A Halloween paper pad, that is why I love that pad, even though there are a bunch of Halloween papers, there are also a bunch of non Halloween papers. That makes the pad super versatile. :-)

Alright, that's all I have for you today. :-)

November's Guest Designer

Oh yay, it's the start of another week and boy do I have some fabulous projects to share with you ALL week. November's Guest Designer is Elisabeth. I came across Elisabeth's blog awhile back and I was just blown away with how beautiful her creations were. When I had my DT call, even though I didn't really specify international applicants, when Elisabeth asked if she could apply I immediately said yes. I had so many applicants and in the end I felt horrible I couldn't have asked her on as a regular member but I knew I couldn't afford to send overseas every month (at least not in the beginning). But I LOVED Elisabeth's creations so much that I certainly wanted her as a Guest Designer. When we picked all the products for November's kit I immediately knew that was the month I wanted her to be GDT. And I am glad I did because she has made some amazing projects with this kit. OK, enough rambling from me, LOL!

Here's a little bit about Elisabeth in her own words:

I live in Vienna, Austria - a most wonderful city - together with my husband and my daughter (almost 5 - she insists on this! LOL). I work fulltime as a music, drama and French teacher. For me, scrapbooking is the perfect way to wind down in the evening after a very stressful day. I am always full of energy and "need to do stuff". As a family, we do a lot of excursions outside of Vienna. I still try to perform on a regular basis, either with a professional choir or playing the violin in an orchestra. I started scrapbooking in 2006, after the birth of my sweet girl.
This is my first guest designer post and I am so excited about it.

And here is DAY 1 of projects from Elisabeth:

Absolutely beautiful! I love how she used the Glimmer Mist on the doilie and the bottom edge of the paper. For details on this LO please visit Elisabeth's blog!

Ok now here is a project from me. Now this image is a little out of my norm but when I saw it on Marlene's blog, I knew it would make the perfect card for my brother. LOL! I had a TON of fun coloring the image, I think I chuckled the whole time.

This is "Maude Merry Christmas". She is from Just Inklined. The sentiment is computer generated and perfect for my brother. LOL! I gave Maude some pleather boots, embossed using black powder. Now I have seen that liquid applique before but I never knew what it was called, but thanks again to Marlene for filling me in. :-) I ordered it to stock it in my store but I couldn't wait for the shipment to come so I had to pick it up at my LCS. I loved it so much that Maude got some fluff on her boots and gloves and of course her hat. The PP is from Basic Grey's Jovial collection, which is available at Artfuldelight.

That's it for today but I will assure you, you don't want to miss this week because I have a project filled week.

Happy Crafting!!

Good Morning crafters! Today I have a project to share with you the DT member Courtney created. Oh I am so excited about this one. She used November's kit to create a stunning present shaped card. For details about how she created the card please visit her blog.

Isn't that card beautiful? Whenever I see Courtney's projects I always want to go bust out my Cricut and start creating. She really does make some fabulous projects and I feel very luck to have her on my team. I feel lucky to have all the girls I have on my team. Tomorrow I will have a beautiful project to share with you that DT member April made so be sure to come back. :-)

Oh, and don't forget to stop by her blog and show her some comment love. :-)

More good news, I am one of the sponsors this week over at Wee Memories. Today is her 1 year blogoversary so she has two sponsors, and I am one of them....YIPPEEE!!! Be sure to stop by her blog and enter the challenge.

Well that's all I have for you today, don't forget to come back tomorrow. Have a great day!

A boys best friend

Phew! (wiping sweat from my brow), I just got this LO in before the deadline. With 33 min to spare. This LO was created to play along with Sketchy Thursday's 10/28/10 sketch.

I say this sketch and for some reason I just know I wanted to play. I would have had this LO done this morning but Walmart made a BIG boo-boo getting my pics printed. I think the photo tech chic woke up late and then she claims she never got my first online order. Oh it was a mess. So I picked the pics up on my way home from school. I came home, made dinner, fed and bathed all 3 kids, put two of the three lil ones to bed and I then crafted while my Lil man watched Toy Story 2 for the 157th time. We rented Toy Story 3 from Redbox last night and I think in less than 24 hours, we watched that movie a dozen times. Is that even possible? LOL!

Anywho, here is the sketch and my LO! Hope you enjoy. And make sure you stop by tomorrow or shall I say Friday, well and Saturday, because I will have some more projects that the lovely DT made using November's Monthly Kit!

Now after typing this and dealing with my son I am down to 16 minutes.

Happy Crafting!!
