Can you believe Monday will be July 1.  We are half way thru the year.  Life is flying by!!
We are going to see 119 degree temps here in the desert today.
Yikes that is HOT!!

Sketch winner

Good Morning my friends!

 I had the day off yesterday so Tony and I did some home improvement projects.

Check these out and then I will share the sketch challenge winner.  

This is the headboard I created.  

We cut 12x12 squares out of wood and then I covered them with batting and fabric.  

To attach it to the wall we bought a super thin piece of wood, adhered that to the wall and then glued all the squares on that wood piece.  

 This next picture is the opposite wall from the headboard wall. 

All of the white is wood.  Tony cut and assembled all those rectangles.  

We were able to snake the cable wire behind the wall and so it comes out right behind the TV and the electrical cord is hidden behind the wood and plugs in the outlet on the right.  If you look close you can see it.  

I am almost done with my bedroom.  I want to get a vinyl wall decor phrase to put over my headboard.  We also need to paint our bathroom and decorate it to match.  

Home improvements are so fun!!  LOL!!

Today I have the day off and I plan on finishing my bedroom.  A couple weeks ago we painted the walls, over the weekend I finished my headboard, and today we are adding some wood accents to the wall.
I will share with you when it is done.  :-)

Happy Sunday!!
Do you have plans for Father's Day?
We celebrated it last night. 
I made this super delicious chicken dinner, he opened his gifts, and we had cake. 

Last night I actually crafted and made a card, I will have to share later this week.  I got a new stamp set that I wanted to play with, I was just testing it out but loved the way it looked so I made it in to a card. 
Today I will be assembling my headboard I made.  I will share pictures of my room once I have the headboard up. 

Today we have our Guest Designer, Suzanne sharing a project.

Everyone has a story to tell

Good Morning and Happy Saturday. 
My kids were so good this morning and let me sleep in. 
It felt amazing.  
I am still getting up several times a night to let my pup out.  
He is now 3 months but we are still actively trying to get him potty trained.  
So, I am up every 3 hours to let him out.  
In other news, I am all set up and registered to go back to school this fall.  
I am super nervous.  
Three years ago when I decided to go back, I wasn't working and my kids were a lot younger.....they slept a lot.  LOL!  
Now I will be working a full time job, running Artful Delight, taking care of my kids, making time for myself, AND taking full time classes. 
I am pretty sure my sanity has once again flew the coup. LOL!   
I am excited though because I have changed my major and I am going back to school to get my degree in what I originally wanted.....teaching!! :-) 

So anywho, today I have an awesome LO to share with you.

Guest Designer, Suzanne Spokus

Today I would like to welcome our Guest Designer for the month of June, Suzanne Spokus.  Suzanne was the winner of our May sketch challenge and she chose to work with our June card kit.  Here is a little about Suzy.

My name is Suzanne and I'm thrilled that LeeAnne asked me to be a guest designer this month at Artful Delight. It's perfect timing, as I'm on summer vacation from my my full time job as a first grade teacher. I love having these few weeks to recharge my batteries, spend time with family/friendsand craft whenever I want! :) I'm married to my awesome husband Dave for almost 5 years. We have a 6 year old puggle named Jax and are awaiting the adoption of our first child. I'm excited to create with this month's card kit!
