Ok so I am only "allowed" to upload a few pics. The first couple are before I added the handle and stamped sentiment. I feel bad because this basket has such minimal stamping but with all the quilt type pattern, I wouldn't know where to put stamped images. The basket is busy enough already.
So anywhoo, I used PP from American Crafts May Bouquet collection. In addition to to PP I cut coordinating squares out of cardstock, So Saffron, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. I used my Cricut to cut 2x2 in squares. WOW it took no time at all. I used my sewing maching to stitch the squares together.
Then the coolest thing is I used my Bind-it-All to assemble the basket. I used 3/8 in O-wire in silver and connected all 4 sides. I saw this basket the other day on the Bind-it-All blog and just a few short days later I got a chance to get crafty and make one of my own.
Ok so I used Old Olive cardstock which you can't really see and made the handle. Since I didn't have a piece long enough I had to adhere two pieces together using a piece of May Bouquet PP to "hide" the seam. Also from the May Bouquet collection I used 2 glazed brads to attach the handle. To complete the basket I used a couple extra cardstock squares and layered them and inked "Happy Mother's Day using a Colorbox Chalk ink, Olive Pastel.
Oh for the flowers I made each one of those with Kleenex. That probably took me the longest. Have you ever made those type of flowers. I remember making them in elementary school. I can't believe I remembered how to make them. They are super easy and look like fully bloomed roses. I inked the edges with red and pink ink to give them a little color.
So there you have it, my basket.
