Twisted Sketch #049

It has been FOREVER since I created a scapbook layout. The worst part about that is I have 4 kids worth of scrapbooking to do. I decided when I had my daughter 13 yrs ago that for each of my kids I may have I will journal their first year in a book, just of them or mainly focused on them. Then after that I would just make "random" books. Well I made one for my daughter but my oh my has paper crafting come a long way since I was in to it 13 yrs ago. The book I made my daughter was kinda crappy compared to what I have access to now. Plus it was falling apart. I used a Creative Memories Scrapbook Album and from adding and removing pages so many times, the binding broke. Well I decided to make her a new one. I would use the same pictures but try to salvage what I could from the book. So on top of redoing hers I have 3 other kids books to do, only one have I started and I think I am half way done (he will be 3 in July, can you say I'm a bit behind). Ok so enough rambling!!! :-)

This week's twist is "Colour" - any how, any way!

YES, I went a bit circle happy. Yes it might be overkill. Yes I know this, but I kinda like the way it turned out. LOL! First of all it so worked well with the picture I chose. My sweet baby Isabel is wearing polka dot pj's. She is only about 5 months in this picture and oh so cute. So I used my For the Love of Dots stamp set from Practicing Creativity Designs to make the background on my 12x12 layout. I inked it with Canary Colorbox Pigment, Pumpkin Pie, Pastel Olive and Chestnut Roan Colorbox Chalk Ink.

With my Cricut I cut various sized circles out of Basic Grey's Green at Heart PP. "Sweet Isabel" is spelled out in chipboard letters. Both from Basic Grey, one from Nook and Pantry collection and one from Green at Heart collection. I usually don't use chipboard only because I don't seem to have enough room on my cards to spell something out. My sentiments are usually stamped. But on a large 12x12 layout I have plenty of room. I finished off the layout with some ribbon from Cosmo Cricket - Honey Pie.

Most of the products used today can be found at Artfuldelight. Check it out!
