Random stuff

Good Morning and Happy Thursday! I finished my English class yesterday and I am so relieved. I will probably walk away with a B in that class only because I had to take the final last Saturday just after I found out my friend had passed away so my mind was not all there. I know the minimum I got on the test was an 88%. Oh well a B is still good. It just bothers me because I maintained an A the whole semester and ONE test will drop it down to a B. BUT, I am pretty certain I will get an A in Econ and that is awesome. :-)

I don't have any paper crafting projects to share with you today but I will share with you my Dora cake I made yesterday for my kids birthday.

I would like to add a disclaimer because she doesn't look the best, LOL, but it was my first cake I ever decorated.

I started decorating it a bit late (meaning really close to dinner time) and my kids were getting restless, hungry, and tired so I couldn't take my time. Plus I didn't have all the colors prepared for the decorating, the food coloring kit only came with 4 colors(I didn't have red, blue or yellow and didn't want to have to mix colors to get those colors) and so I had to make some adjustments.

Anywho, here is my cake:

I was going to make the cake from scratch but I didn't want to take the extra time so I bought a cake mix. I did however make the frosting and it was DELICIOUS, yummy Buttercream frosting. YUM!!! If you don't enlarge the photo you won't be able to see all her imperfections. LOL! I call her my Hollywood Dora, one too many plastic surgeries gone bad. LOL!

Anywho, all that mattered was Isabel and Lil Tony (without any prompting) told me she was beautiful. :-)

And last here are a couple pictures from our dinner last night. The only time we go out to eat is for our birthdays. So 5-6 times a year we make our way to a restaurant. We usually go to our favorite Mexican place in town but since it was for the kids we decided to go to Perkins. Not my favorite place by any stretch but they could get meals with fries or pancakes or something a little more kid friendly. It was a nice evening. :-)

Max was a little mad he couldn't play with my phone.

Isabel and Nicki

My Lil man Tony

Daddy and Tony

I am a little behind on my photos with my kids but this is the best one I could get last night of me and Isabel. LOL! They were not really interested in taking pictures.

Well that's all for today. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!! Oh and in case you don't follow Julie's blog at Life with the Tucker and Wolek Clan (which I highly recommend you do, she has tons of inspiration) she made top 3 over at GCD Studios blog and they are having a voting this morning (well until the 29th). If you could pop on over and vote for Julie's LO that would be awesome. And pop on over to Julie's blog to see all her adorable LO's.

Happy Crafting!!
