Have you entered my giveaway yet? Click here to enter, it ends Wednesday at 2:00pm EST.

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! Today is going to be a long day for me. I have a confession, I procrastinated on some of my homework and now I have to do it ALL today because I have a big test tomorrow. It is in my Economics class. Now in all fairness all the material the professor covers in class is just an extension of the reading, the reading is all examples and such and really the reading TOTALLY confuses me. LOL! So I don't like to do it (only in this class though), because when I feel I have an understanding on it from his lecture, I go read the book and then I am totally confused. But nevertheless I have to read and study today. But according to both my professors after this week the rest of the semester is pretty stress free. I only have 3 1/2 weeks to go. WA-FREAKIN-HOOOOOOOO!! LOL!!

So today I have a FABULOUS card set to share with you that April created using the June monthly kit.

I love the color combination April used on this card. These cards are beautiful!! For more details about this card set please visit April's blog.

On the 1st of July not only will the July monthly kit start shipping, we will have ASC #10 but I have a BIG announcement. So be sure to stop by on Friday!! :-) You won't want to miss that post. :-)

Sisters

Good Morning! So yesterday afternoon I deleted an application or program or something on my laptop and then it started just deleting all these folders and files on my desktop. Ugghhh!!

Files and folders that contained all my homework and a TON of svg files I had purchased were ALL GONE!!!!

I began to panic. Now I do back my stuff up on a flash drive but not as often as I should so let's just say I hadn't done it lately. Tony found a program that will allow me to recover some deleted files. So we gave it a try. It took ALL night to scan my drives and find the deleted stuff. I wasn't able to recover everything but I did get the most important thing and that was my research paper for English. But....all my craft stuff was deleted and not recovered. I feel so bummed. :-(

Lesson learned though that's for sure. I did get happy mail today and that would be a Cricut Car Decals cartridge I had ordered the other day. So I now have 2 new cartridges to play with.

Well today I have a beautiful LO to share with you that Abby created using Artful Delight's June monthly kit.

I love the colors she used together on this LO!! And the picture is super cute!! For more details about the LO please visit Abby's blog.

Now I am going to try and clean up my files/pictures and such on my laptop. Maybe try and get some organization in my daily life. LOL! I just feel most days I am trying to tackle too many things, school, my kids, homework, house work and I don't take the time to do things the "right" way. I don't know if that makes sense to anyone but basically I just mean I always feel rushed so I don't save my files correctly or I don't put my craft stuff away in the right spots or ....well that's really it. I just seem to get distracted very easily and leave my tasks half done. I can't do that anymore, it is causing me great stress. LOL!!

When I was younger, early 20's-ish, and I just had my oldest daughter I was SO organized. I was very particular about where things went and now that is just out the door probably went with my sanity. haha!!

Ok enough of that, I am off to clean and organize. LOL!!

A couple last things to mention, there are still a few June monthly kits left, click here if you would like to purchase.

And last but not least, don't forget to stop by Fantabulous Cricut and play along with this week's challenge for your chance to win Artful Delight's June monthly kit.

Happy Crafting!!

Be sure to scroll down to see my earlier post. :-) My daughter and I did a little crafting together yesterday.

Happy Crafting!!

Today's feature.......

....my daughter Nicki!! LOL! So I would like to thank Courtney for being an enabler!!!! LOL! :-) She makes such beautiful cards with her Cricut and I especially took a liking to her cards made with the Create a Critter cartridge. I just had to have it!!

I got it in the mail yesterday and my daughter and I decided to make a card. She had gotten a graduation card from my aunt so I thought it would be nice to send her a thank you card. All I did was the Cricut work. She chose the image and what she wanted to do and chose the papers and put it all together.

She needs a little practice with the liquid glue, much like I did in the beginning, she said sometimes it just came pouring out. LOL!

The little lamb is adhered using an Action Wobble. LOVE those things. She was so proud of her card and I think my aunt will love it. :-)

Stop by tomorrow, I will have a LO to share with you that Abby created using Artful Delight's June monthly kit. :-)

Hey have you checked out Fantabulous Cricut this week? I am sponsoring over there and the challenge is to create a project using a sun!! LOVE suns.

Wishing you.....

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday!!

Today I have a card to share with you that I created for my Grandma's birthday on July 1. :-) I am making sure to be ahead of the game this time. Every year it seems I am forgetting until the minute to make a card.

The svg file I purchased from My Grafico and it came with an svg file for 3 different kinds of blossoms. Now I didn't have any lilac paper laying around so I cut the little blossoms in white and sponged them with Dusty Concord distress ink.

It doesn't totally look like a lilac blossom but I really like the way it turned out. I also sponged the white cardstock from American Crafts with some Old Paper distress ink. Although this card was VERY time consuming, I had a ton of fun making it. It was a bit therapeutic, lol. My kids were playing and I just glued away! :-) I am sharing a picture of my process before I had too much glued on.

I made about 100+ of those little flowers and sponged them with the distress ink. Then I "folded" them, basically just folded the petals up and that left me with a small little base to apply some glue and put it in place. It gave the card some awesome dimension. I wanted to take a picture of what that process looked like but it was so small you couldn't really see anything in the picture, I did try. LOL!! :-)

Note to self: wear gloves!! LOL!!

The sentiment is from Practicing Creativity Designs and stamped with the Dusty Concord distress ink.

I am entering this card in this week's challenge over at The Paper Variety. The challenge is to use 2 different text. When I was choosing the stamps to use for this card (believe it or not I don't have but one or two Happy Birthday stamps, lol) as soon as I saw the different text in the PCD stamp set I knew I wanted to use it so I could enter in the challenge. :-)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

If you can please email me your mailing address I can get your prize in the mail to you.

leeanne@artfuldelight.com

I am thinking of having another giveaway VERY soon so if you didn't win this time, there will be more chances.

Also have you seen the new tab in my menu bar, it is called "Current Sponsorships." In this tab is a list of the upcoming challenge blogs that I will be sponsoring every month so you can have several chances to win a kit.

You can also purchase a kit at Artful Delight! At the end of each month when the new month's kit becomes available the "old" kit goes on sale for $23.50 plus shipping. This is a great deal but we don't always have kits left over at the end of the month. So if there is a kit you really like, don't delay purchase it right away. Otherwise you can wait until the end of the month and get the kit at a fabulous deal!! We try our best each month to pack each kit with amazing products! If you haven't given our kits a try, head over and purchase one of the "older" kits at the $23.50 and see just how amazing these kits are. Even at $32.50 which is the regular price for a single month purchase, you are getting a deal. :-)

You can also purchase a 3 and 6 month subscription, the 6 month subscription is the best deal. Although you are signing up for a subscription and your paypal will be charged monthly on the date you sign up, there really is no obligation. All I ask is you give a month notice that you cannot continue. There is no penalty for not fulfilling your subscription.

Well that's all for today, stop by in the morning and I will have another LO to share with you that Abby created. :-)

Happy Father's Day! (card)

Happy Thursday! Yesterday was a great day, we had Nicki's Graduation Ceremony and then the rest of the day just hung out.

So I decided to apply for a job, part time at the college. I did this over a week ago and I started to think for some reason that I wasn't going to get a call. I also applied at the animal shelter around the same time. I need a job to help pay for an unexpected financial situation that will come up next month. On top of that I want to save for our move next year. So as of yesterday morning I had not heard from anyone. Now on Monday I won an Elmer's Glue prize pack from a blog hop that was going on over at Nikki Sivils blog, I was EXCITED to say the least. I knew at that moment that good things would happen this week. LOL! Well yesterday I got the call from the college asking for an interview. I won't make much but they are willing to work around my schedule. So if I want to work a couple hours here and there in between classes and such then I can. I am SUPER excited. :-)

So today I have a card to share with you that I made for my dad. I used papers from Artful Delight's March monthly kit (sold out).

I used my Cricut and an svg file that I purchased from SVGcuts.com. Since I don't have many cartridges I usually purchase svg files from either SVGcuts.com or MyGrafico.com. There are so many cartridges out there that I want and I just can't afford to buy them. My next best alternative is buying individual files as needed from those two sites. :-)

I made a few changes to the card. Well nothing to the svg cuts just added some extra touches. I cut some clouds with my Cricut and used the as a mask for the sky. I used some removable adhesive, adhered them and then sponged around them with Broken China distress ink. Then for the patch of "grass" I just sponged some Peeled Paint distress ink.

For the inside of the card I used a font pre-programmed in my Cricut and welded the letters together.

I have to get this card in the mail today so it can hopefully (fingers crossed) can reach my dad by Saturday's mail delivery.

That's all I have for you today but be sure to stop by tomorrow because I will have a fabulous LO to share with you that DT member Debbie created. :-)

Happy Crafting!!

From all of us.....

Good Morning my friends. This morning I am getting ready for my daughter's 8th grade graduation. Ahhh brings tears to my eyes. Really, where has the time gone?? Last night we went to her award ceremony, she won honor roll and outstanding academic achievement! YAY Nicki!!!!

For today I have a card to share with you that I created. This month I have several cards to make, from birthdays, to a Father's Day card (that's right I haven't made it yet which I need to do so I can get it in the mail), a retirement card, and a couple congratulations cards. So last night I created a birthday card for my brother. :-)

When I was making this card I thought to myself whose bright idea was it to have to many darn kids, lol! You will see what I am talking about. So I found this card at June's blog, Simply Elegant Paper Crafts, she won at Fantabulous Cricut for this card. The original source was over at DarleneDesign.com, she has a wonderful tutorial on how to make this card as well as PDF instructions with the measurements. Anywho, here is my card:

So if you have seen this card either at June's blog or Darlene's blog you would see there was only a place for either 3 or 4 owls (she has two styles of cards) but because there are 6 of us (thus my cursing about having so many kids, lol, not really cursing at all, lol) I had to alter the card a bit to fit my family (of owls).

I fussy cut the owls from Jillibean Soup's Spotted Owl Soup collection. The stamp set I used for the "Happy Birthday Bro" is from Practicing Creativity Design. I hand wrote "from all of us".

When I get home from Nicki's graduation I did want to add one more thing to the front of the card, the owls on the paper had balloons, I want to add some to the owl on the front of the card. I think that will look cute. :-)

This card was a little time consuming but SUPER fun! I will be making more in my future. :-)

Thank you June and Darlene for the wonderful inspiration. :-)

That's all for now! Off to Nicki's graduation.

Sweetness & Birthday wishes!!

Happy Friday my friends! Oh what a week it has been. I have a fun filled weekend ahead of me writing a 6 page research paper on Yoga. It's our one and only research paper and thankfully it is about something we wanted to write about and know more about. And since I just started Yoga last semester at school and LOVED it, I thought I would enjoy writing about it. I am also fortunate enough that my English Professor just started taking Yoga classes too and is excited to learn more about it from my paper. A little pressure there to write a good paper. LOL!

Today is my DT member Courtney's birthday!! I would like to wish her a hap-hap-HAPPY Birthday. She creates the most amazing "shaped" cards. I just love them. Today's card is fabulous. It sure makes me want to go get a soft served ice cream cone. The ice cream truck that drives around our neighborhood actually sells soft serve ice cream which I thought was strange. I remember when I was younger all the ice cream the truck in my neighborhood sold and I never remember a soft served truck. Does anyone have an ice cream truck sell soft serve in their neighborhood?

Love Live Laugh

Good Morning! Sorry to be posting this so late, I wanted to have it up and posted earlier today but my mind has been a bit preoccupied. I am really starting to stress my English class. It is a required class for my degree and it is English Literature. I am having a real tough time. I feel silly for stressing because I am still getting an A in the class but it has only just begun. I have had 5 things graded and half I did really well on and the other half, not so well. I have worked 2 hard the first two semesters (full time classes and taking care of my kids)to get straight A's and maintain a 4.0 GPA, I just don't want this English class to bring me down.

Next week I am supposed to read "Othello", watch a two hour "Othello" movie, write a 2-3 page paper on the play and then have a good grasp of it to answer questions on our upcoming mid-term. I just keep telling myself I only have 6 weeks left. Maybe that will help. LOL!

Today was Lil Tony's last day of school. He goes to speech therapy twice a week. I was sad because he really worked well with Miss Lindsey. I hope she didn't think I was crazy but I asked to take of picture of her and my son.

She was a fabulous speech therapist and she will be greatly missed!!

So today I have a card to share with you that Debbie created using Artful Delight's June kit. Not only does Debbie create amazing LO's but she also creates beautiful cards. :-)

2 Fabulous projects

Happy Tuesday!! I am so excited because I finished my 10 week Computer Accounting class in 2 weeks. This is a good thing because I took 3 classes this Summer and I was beginning to feel overwhelmed with all that I had to do, now that I have 1 of the classes out of the way I can focus on the other 2 and I think 2 classes is totally do-able.

So today I have 2 projects to share with you that my DT created using the June monthly kit.

They are FABULOUS!!!

Please be sure to visit their blogs for more details. Did you see the link in my sidebar with the sketch for June? Be sure to play along for your chance to win Artful Delight's July kit.

That's all I have for today, I am off to take my son to his speech class. He only has 2 more sessions for this school year. I am giving his teacher her gift today. :-)

Teacher project

Hello my crafty friends!! I finished up a project I made for Lil Tony's speech therapist. She has been so wonderful this year and I am sad it is coming to an end. Not only will she not be his therapist next year but she won't even be at the school, she is moving back to Illinois. I am happy for her because that is where her family is. Straight out of college last year she moved to Virginia to work and she really has had no one here. She will be very missed though!!!!

Anywho, I used May's kit to make this project and I really like the way it turned out. I will first give credit where it is due and I found the candy holder from Handmade from my heart and I found the flower pot idea from May Arts blog.

I really wanted to use Echo Park's Summer Days collection and other products from Artful Delight's May kit.

***EDIT: Took new pictures, what a world of difference a little sunlight will do****
I am totally not happy with the photos but not only is it rainy and gloomy here but I can't find the cord to my camera to upload the good pics I took. So sorry.

I really like the way this turned out and the gloomy faded pictures don't do it justice.

The original flowers from May Arts blog used some ribbon for the leaves but I didn't have any so I used twine. Also one on May Arts blog used wooden dowel rods for the stem but I used pencils and I covered them with the twine. That way they can be functional. They certainly wouldn't be a daily pencil but something she could grab if she needed to write something down real quick. The flowers are SVG files that I bought from My Grafico. The "#1 Teacher" was cut with my Cricut and the George and Basic Shapes cartridge. The box is filled with Hershey's chocolate nuggets. And the teacher's name is spelled using the alpha stickers from the Summer Days collection kit which was included in Artful Delight's May kit. (sold out)

The green leaf attached to one of the flowers says "Thanks for helping me grow this year." (which was also scrap lifted from the May Arts blog flower pot)

I used a pot that I bought from Michaels for 0.99 and filled with some glass balls to hold the pencils in place. I used some of the stickers from the Summer Days collection to decorate the pot.

I really hope she likes it!!

Well that's all I have for today, be sure to stop by tomorrow, I will have a project to share from my DT using Artful Delight's June kit.
