Celebrate the Holiday

Happy Sunday my friends!! 

Do you have any plans for the New Year?  I have to work until 6:30 and then I am going to dinner with some friends from work.  It is one of my friends last day at work tomorrow, well she is still with the company but she is transferring to another location.  I will hopefully be home by 8:30 though so I can spend the rest of my night with Tony.  My  kids will probably already be in bed.  

Do you have any resolutions?  I don't really make "resolutions" per se but each year I try to have a better year than the last. 

2012 was an awesome year for my family and  I am just hoping that 2013 will be even more amazing. So many things I would like to accomplish. First and foremost is buying a home.  I will need to make adjustments to my every day life in order to accomplish that.  

I also want to start crafting more.  I used some of my cards that I have had forever  for some birthdays and such and got huge reaction from my coworkers that it makes me want to get my Etsy store going again and start  making cards again.  

I started to clean and organize my craft room last night.  Oh what a disaster.  Stacks of paper crafting supplies all over the place.  A desk covered in crafty goodies and I couldn't sit and do  anything. I finally got a chair for my desk thanks to Tony.  I have the day off today and I am determined to make my craft space work-able.  

I have so many stamp sets and dies and papers (oh my) that I haven't even touched.....brand new!  I need to play with them.  :-)  

Ok well let's share today's beautiful LO so I can get in my craft room and get organized.  :-)

Can you believe 2012 is almost over??  

I can't.  

I am excited about 2013 though.  2012 was really good to my family and I have high hopes that 2013 will be just as amazing.  So bring on the new year.

Wow, as much as I love the anticipation of Christmas and seeing my children's faces when they open their gifts, this year I am happy it is over.

I am sad, however, that my 4 days off is over too.  It's back to work today.  Ugh!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!

Day 3 of my 4 day weekend.  I am not going to want to go back to work on Wednesday.  

Tony and I had a date night last night.  Went to dinner at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant.  Love that place.  My step mom is Greek and I was pretty much raised by  her so we always had Greek food.  LOVE it!!

Today we plan on just hanging out maybe getting some last minute things from the store.

Happy Sunday and January kit reveal.....

Hello!! 

So we decided to do the kit reveal early because many of us will not be online on the 25th.  

I feel like this day of the month comes so quick.  It seems like I was just posting the December kit reveal.  

We have two amazing kits to share.  For those of you that have had a chance to play with our kits, either from being on our DT, purchasing one, or winning a kit, do you feel you are getting a good valued kit.  Actually this question should be more directed to those that have purchased a kit. Do you feel you are getting a great value for the price you pay?  

 I want 2013 to be a good year for Artful Delight.  Tony and I have talked about me opening store up in my town and not only selling kits but also other papercrafting items.  I think we could do well because the closest scrapbooking type store is about 30 minutes away.  It could still be a couple years before we even see a  Michaels or Hobby Lobby in town.  

I might throw a couple polls on here over the next couple weeks or months to get some ideas of how you shop for crafty goodies and if you prefer for shop online or in person etc.....feel free to let me know in comments too.

Tis the Season to be Jolly

Happy Saturday!! 

 Today is Day 1 of my 4 day weekend and I totally don't want to get out  of my pj's.  LOL!!  I need to find time to wrap all the presents.  I always wait until the kids go to sleep on Christmas Eve and then I am frantically wrapping them.

After I work today I have off for 4 days.  I won't go back until Wednesday and I am going to enjoy every minute.  

I have to head "to town" tomorrow to get some last minute stuff for Christmas.  I am sure I have mentioned this before but we live in a town (which is a decent size, not like out in the country or  something) that doesn't have much.  We have a TON of schools and fast food restaurants and two grocery stores, oh and Walmart, oh and a casino.......but no sit down restaurants or stores like Target or the Dollar store, or heck even a mall......so I have to drive 30 minutes or so to get to any of those stores.  

So that's what I will be doing tomorrow.  Sunday is football and Monday and Tuesday will be family time.  :-)

Good Morning! 

So I am not feeling so well today and I would call in except we are totally short handed at work.  One of the girls I work with had a baby on Monday and another one had a death in the family yesterday.  

So if I called in there would only be one girl working.  Yeah that won't work.  LOL!!  So I will dose myself up with some medicine and work through the week because starting Saturday I have 4 days off.

Good Morning!! 

One week until Christmas, I can't believe it. 

We gave our kids one of their gifts yesterday.  We got a fish tank and let all the kids pick out their fish.  They love it!  We all got fish so we have 6 of them.  We try to do some sort of family gift each year and the  kids have wanted to get fish.  :-)

I love this LO, the banners and the background shape.  I am pretty sure she cut that with the Silhouette because I cut a shape very similar and I am just amazed at the detail that the Silhouette can cut.  

We  do sell the Silhouette Cameo in our store.  It is a drop ship item so it would ship directly from the manufacturer.  

And we offer free shipping!! :-)

Good Morning!!

How was all of your weekends?  Mine was filled with stuff to do.  I am actually quite glad it's over.  I cannot believe Christmas is one week away.  I am not ready.  So not ready that I have  been holding off on ordering the things I need online thinking I have more time only to realize that I have to order by today to have it delivered by Dec  24.  Way to procrastinate.  LOL!!  Oh well.

Quick card

Hello my friends!! 

So I had my work Christmas party/meeting last night.  The ugly sweater one, well I am happy to report that although my branch didn't win the "team" ugly sweater, I won the female with the ugliest sweater.  There were 90+ people at the party with the majority of them women, and I won.  So excited.  :-) 

I will be sharing a picture later.  We took a lot of pictures at the party but I don't think you can really see our shirts.  I might have to put it back on and take a picture so you can all see.  

Now today I have to go to another Christmas party for work but this is just for our branch.  So there will be 10 or so of us going to lunch/dinner at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant.  Totally excited.  We will be exchanging secret Santa gifts and I didn't have a card so I whipped one together really quick.  I think it took me about 30 minutes to make and that was only because of the time it took to cut out all the pieces with my Silhouette. 

Thanks to my Silhouette I came up with this....

I used cardstock on this card.  The belt is black felt and the buckle was embossed with silver embossing powder. I used some gems for the eyes that I colored black with a marker and a gem for him nose.  The beard, and hat have liquid applique on it.  LOVE that stuff.  

So I am going to watch a lil football and then get ready to PAR-TAY!! LOL!!
