TGIF!!

I get to go in work a little late today so after I took my kids to school and daycare I came back home for a bit. 

Any plans for the weekend?  I have to work and the Saturday night I am hoping to go to a crop with Julie from Life with the Tucker Wolek clan.

Hello my friends!! 

So sorry my posts  have been late and there was a delay in posting the new kit reveal.  I am still struggling ( a little bit) to get organized.  Last night Tony took me out to dinner and a movie for my birthday.  It was nice to hang out without the kids.  We very rarely do that.  

So this post will include two projects from our Delightful Designers, Missy and Erin.  Then later this afternoon/evening I will have another post with the kit reveal and the winner of my birthday giveaway.  Then  I will still have posts to fill up the rest of the week with projects from our  Design Team using our September kit.

Good Morning!! So......yes it's the 25th......and yes we should be having our kit reveal however there is going to be a delay this month.

Well first I want to explain how I chose the winner.  Basically I just add together the layout sketch entries and the card sketch entries, which for September was 46.  Then I use random.org which this time chose the #23.  Then starting with the layout sketch I count down 23.  There were actually 23 layout sketch entries so the winner is......

Another month almost coming to an end....

Hello my friends!! 

It's Monday, ugh! Another long week ahead of me.  

It's Monday which means it's Marcia's day to showcase her project using our September scrapbook kit.

Happy Sunday my friends!!

It's my birthday and I have the day off, totally awesome.  I will unfortunately be doing some cleaning and such but at least I am with my kids.  And hopefully we will get to go out to dinner tonight.  Tony has put in some overtime this week so today is his "Friday" but in 6 days he has put in almost 70 hours. 

Well in honor of my birthday let's go ahead and have a giveaway.

Good Morning and TGIF!! 

So as wonderful as short days are at work there must be some long days to make up for it and today would be one of those days.  Today is my 10 hour day.  Thankfully my long days are on Fridays because they are usually pretty busy.

Now for today's tutorial.

Despite its compact size and single design in one roll, washi tape can create a big "wow" factor in your creations! I've got a quick tip/trick to show you today using the fun chevron based washi tape (from October Afternoon Woodland Park Collection) included in Artful Delight's September Scrapbook and Card kits. I really wanted to showcase the unique patterns and colors from the roll of tape as well as wanting to create a great focal point for my card. 

I started by laying a few strips of the tape across a cream colored cardstock (not included in the kit) as well as the white cardstock. The lengths of tape were about five inches long.  

I then trimmed each strip, so no cardstock was showing. The tape transforms its hues into the color of the paper, yet you can still see the pattern and the bright lines. Once I had the strips trimmed, I adhered them to another piece of white cardstock in a pattern of the cream, white and cream, being careful to line up the pattern as I went. This new, unique focal point was then adhered to an orange cardstock base and the card was then stamped with a sentiment from one of the stamp sets included in this month's Artful Delight's kits.

The Little Things In Life

Hello!!

Back to work today.  I had the day off yesterday and it went too quick.  Thankfully today is one of my short days for the week.  I get to work a couple 6 1/2 days and a couple 10 hour days, today is my short one.  Yippee!!

Here's what I love about this LO other than all the awesome layering, if you have seen the kit you will notice that it is a little geared towards birthdays.  Now not that it is a bad thing because we all have birthday's right?  Which means we either need to make birthday cards or create those birthday LO's.  BUT Debbie's LO today shows that you can use the scrapbook kit in a different way.  She used all the elements from the kit but didn't make a birthday LO.  

This LO is super fun!!

Ice Cream Love

Good Morning!! 

So I have to stop staying up so late at night.  Tony has picked up some extra hours at work so he is asleep super early so that leaves me to stay up and watch some Grey's Anatomy on Netflix.  I didn't go to bed until almost midnight last night.  Then up early to get the kids to school.  Ugh!  Thankfully I have the day off today.  :-)

Happy Happy Birthday

Hello!! 

So excited today is my short day at work and then I have tomorrow off. Yippee!!  Even though it's my day off I still have lots to do.  I am volunteering at my kids school and then I have some meetings for my son at his school.  

So today's LO is awesome!  I am pretty sure I say that every day but when I was putting together this month's kit and I saw this paper I was so excited to see it in use.  I love "rays!"

Well my kids are rushing me out the door and I haven't even gotten dressed for work.  I better get going!!  I need a vacation!!  lol!!

Spotlight Saturday

Oh yes, the day is almost over. Well my internet went down at about 4pm last night and didn't come back until I was at work today. As soon as I got home from work this evening it was pretty much time for dinner. This is the first time I have been able to get in front of my computer in almost 2 days. Might not sound too bad to some of you but I used to be glued to my computer and to not be on for a couple days weird. LOL!! 

 Anywho, I am here now and ready to share our Spotlight Saturday projects. 

June created some amazing cards again this week.

Both cards are fabulous!!  I especially love the second one, love the colors and they way it looks like rays.  :-)

Happy Friday!!

TGIF my friends!!  I am so excited that it's Friday because I don't work my second job anymore which means I have 2 days off a week.  I do work most all Saturdays but I will have off on Sunday.  

Yesterday was such a busy day for me, I am in need of a day to do nothing.  So yesterday I had to work until 5:30, speed (not really) home for a parent teacher conference for my daughter at 6pm and then another conference for my son at 6:30 and then a PTO meeting at 7.  I didn't get home until 8, played a quick game of Candy Land, put my kids to bed, ate dinner while watching The Closer on Netflix and then off to bed.  Today I get to work an 11 hour day.  Go me!!  LOL!!  I need a vacay!!  

Today is Karen's day to share some creations with us.  Karen created two very cool CAS cards.

I like how she tried to focus on creating one card that is more feminine and one card masculine, all using papers and embellishments from the same kit.

Time To Celebrate

Good morning my friends! 

Today is going to be a busy day and I don't even have to work.  I have to volunteer and my kids school twice.  Once in the morning and the little walk up window that sells Gatorade, Sunny D, water, and little granola bars and then one more time around lunch for a teacher luncheon.  THEN I have to decorate a bowling pin.  Yeah you read that right, a BOWLING PIN.  Sometimes being a paper crafter back fires on me.  LOL!!  For whatever reason at work we have to decorate a bowling pin to show our spirit.  I immediately said I could bring in all my crafting goodies.  Well then we got too busy at work to decorate it at work so the other day I volunteered to take it home. UGH!!  I don't know what I got myself in to.  Decorating a bowling pin has not been easy.  I may just have to share my creation when I am done.  LOL!!
