Spotlight Saturday!

Happy Saturday my friends!! I cannot believe the end of another month is right around the corner.  I am in serious countdown mode - T-minus 66 days until we leave.  I couldn't be any more excited.  We are getting close to the time that we can find a home and confirm jobs.....Oh I am so excited about that too.  The job that I thought I was going to get but couldn't back in April because the training  classes started before I would get to Arizona have job postings that just got posted which means I think they will start in August.  I have been in touch with the HR rep and she said that we can move forward when the classes are available after I arrive in Arizona.  Ahhhhhh, I am so excited.  Now just to get Tony a job. 

Well today you are in for a treat.  I asked our sketch challenge winner for April, Yvonne from Do More With Less,  to be our Guest Designer this month....I know, I know the  month is almost over and I haven't  posted anything yet.  Well that's because she lives out of the country and for some reason it took FOREVER for her to get the package.  Well she got her package a week or so ago and she got to work.  So I don't just have one project to share with you - nope not two or three projects......I have NINE PROJECTS to share. Yvonne used our May scrapbook kit!  I told you, you were in for a treat!!!!

I am pretty much speechless!!!!!  NINE layouts with one kit - that is amazing.  Many of my designers, even though they are only asked to make 4 projects a month, say that after those 4 projects they still have a TON of product left from the kit.  Our kits really are an amazing deal for your money. 

All of these LO's are absolutely amazing, I LOVE the ones where she used misting and masking.

So what do you think, is that a lot of projects for one kit or what??  There are still some June kits left, I think we only have one scrapbook kit and 3 card kits.  They will officially go on sale in our store  June 1st.  BUT if you would like to pre-order please send me an email.  leeanne@artfuldelight.com

Spotlight Saturday

Good Morning and happy weekend!!! I am happy it's here even though I have to work a few hours today and tomorrow. I am happy it's here because Monday will be the start of the 4th week left in this semester. Ahhhhh, so happy to be (almost) done. :-)

Well today I have a beautiful card to share with you from our Delightful Guest Designer, Diana. She was awesome and created 5 projects for us since there were 5 Saturdays this month. :-)


Look at this card, isn't it gorgeous?? I want to thank Diana for joining us this month!! I hope you were inspired by all of her beautiful creations, both cards and LO's!! :-)

Today is the last day to submit your projects for our DT call. It ends tonight. The new team will be chosen and announced by the end of the week.

Tomorrow the new sketch challenge will be posted and the kits will officially go on sale over at Artful Delight. The kits are selling fast so be sure to make your purchase soon, before they all sell out!

Spotlight Saturday

Good Morning my friends. I hope your weekend is off to a good start. I woke up at 5:30 and got to work on my homework. I am almost done with one of my assignments. I started to not be able to concentrate around 6:30 when I knew there could be a possibility that my kids would wake. When I know that it is too early for them to wake I can focus, as soon as I think they could wake that is all I can think about and I can't focus on my school work. Oh well, I still have 5 more days to finish. I am certain I will get it done. A few more early mornings and I will be in good shape. AND as of Monday I only have 5 more weeks of school (with the exception of the 2 classes I need to take this summer but they will be super easy classes so I am not stressed at all).

Today is another Spotlight Saturday featuring our guest designer, Diana. We are lucky this month to have 5 Saturday's so Diana will also join us next week. :-)

I will announce the winner of this month's sketch challenge tomorrow with the reveal of our April kits.

Do you agree that CHA-W had some amazing releases?? Well you should agree, lol, because some of these new products are super hard to get. I just don't think manufacturers can make these products fast enough to keep up with the excitement from all of us crafters. :-) I am excited each month to be able to share with you some of the hottest products out there but I hope that you bear with me on getting the kits to you. I still have yet to get my kits to my DT because I am waiting on some last minute items that have been out of stock forever. LOL!! Debbie has put together another amazing kit for April and I have seen what she has for May and I already can't wait to reveal that one too. LOL!!

I should have no problem getting kits out by the 1st but there may be a delay in sharing the inspiration from our design team.

Spotlight Saturday

Good Morning and Happy Saturday. Oh yeah it's Saturday and that means it's Spotlight Saturday. It is also a new month which means a new guest designer.

This month's guest designer is Diana from Design by Diana. She was our sketch challenge winner using our February sketch.

Here is a little bit about Diana:

Hello! I'm Diana Fisher. Thanks to my mother's influence, I have been crafting and scrapbooking since I was a teenager, and now I can't imagine my life without
it.

I've become most recognized for my sketches and the Sketchy Thursdays challenge blog that recently shut its bloggy doors. I'm lucky enough to have been published in Creating Keepsakes, Paper Crafts Magazine and CARDS Magazine, as well as many online publishing and DT opportunities in the past 3 years. (Sure ya' ran into me somewhere, eh?!) And I'm so excited to be the March GDT for Artful Delight!

I have a wonderful husband, a five-year-old son, and I have had a ten-year career as the Production Director for a national teen magazine. I hope you'll stop by my blog (http://designbydiana.blogspot.com/) and say hi every once in awhile!

Spotlight Saturday....oooops I mean Tuesday! :-)

Good Morning! Well since the 25th fell on a Saturday I had to move our Spotlight Saturday to the next available day which is today. :-)

Marcia was the winner of our January sketch challenge and I just loved her work. I invited her to be our Guest Designer in February and she accepted. She has totally ROCKED the February scrapbook kit.

This is Marcia's last post this month and she is going out with a bang. Not only did she make a LO but she made 2 cards all using the February scrapbook kit. :-)

If you have been following us each Saturday you will see Marcia has created 4 LO's and 4 cards!!! That is AWESOME!!! I don't mean to toot our own horn or nothing but our kits are JAM PACKED with lots of goodies. Many of my DT members say they still have products left even a month or two after they have created all their projects. Our kits really are well worth your money.

I wanted to point out a few things about our kits: I didn't start a kit club to be able to make a living or support my family. I started the kit club because of my love of the craft. I love paper crafts. I love blogging. I love meeting new people. I love everything about what I do. If I was in it to make a living, with all the stuff that is packed in there, I could easily charge double what I do. But I don't. I don't want to break the bank. We can all agree that paper crafting is an EXPENSIVE hobby. I also don't put any money in to fancy packaging or anything like that. I like to keep any money I have and put it in to product for the kits. So I package the paper and embellishments with whatever I have on hand. I reuse packaging I may get from manufacturers or other purchases I make......so that way you will get more product in your kits to play with.

I want to get our name out there. I want people to know Artful Delight as an awesome kit club; kits packed with a ton of stuff for an awesome price. If you haven't tried our kits, but think you might want to....I can assure you, you won't be disappointed. Over the last year and a half I have had an amazing group of ladies to work with and help promote AD. Each term we bring in a group of VERY TALENTED (and SUPER sweet) ladies to help spread the word about Artful Delight.

I love what she did with this card. The hearts are the sticky backed canvas sheet that is included in the kit. Did you know you could emboss the canvas? I didn't!

Spotlight Saturday

Good morning and Happy Saturday!! Today will be a long day for me. I have to work and even though most of you work 8 hour shifts, it is not normal for me to at Micheals and today I have to. I think the longest part will come in that the first 2-3 hours of my day will be spent hosting a birthday party. Those are always so exhausting. But then I get to sit for 2 hours and demo a card, I get to craft for 2 hours. :-) Oh well. I have actually been thinking about trying to get a full time regular job after I finish this semester. I need the experience before I move and try to find a good paying job. Tony will be able to quit his job in June (his company paid for us to move to Virginia from Florida so in turn he had to sign a 3 year contract, his contract is up in June, wahhooooo). So when he quits, hopefully he will find a closer job and maybe work nights so I can work days. It will be REALLY hard for me to leave my kids all day every day.....I know many of you are saying "I do it every week" but I have been home with my kids for almost 5 years. But I think I will embrace the new experience with open arms.....a REAL job.....

Ok well enough about all that mumbo jumbo, today I would like to share with you our February Guest Designer. You may recognize the name from when I announced the January sketch challenge winner.

Marcia from One Scrap at a Time won our January sketch challenge and I just loved her work so I asked if she would be our February Guest Designer.

The LO we are sharing today is absolutely AMAZING. Marcia rocked the February scrapbook kit.

That's it for today. I really wanted to craft today but not sure I will get to it. I bought some new Memory Box Dies and I am dying to play with them. :-) I do actually have one for sale if anyone is interested. I used it once, it is a beautiful die but I was looking for border die and this doesn't punch out the shape it punches out the design, does that make sense. Below are some pictures. I am asking $6.50 plus $1.75 shipping (US only).
