Oh yeah, it's Friday and pretty much the end of the month. TGIF my friends!! We are down to the wire, our last month in Virginia. In the last 18 years I have never lived anywhere long enough to get attached, but I have lived in Virginia for 3 years.....I have made some amazing friends. I love that when I am out and about I always see people I know. I will miss lots of things about Winchester but I am more excited for our new adventure in Arizona. So many great people to finally get to meet in Arizona, so much goodness is waiting for us there.   It's time for our family to settle down.  I am so excited about what's in our future.  :-) 

Only 2 days left in the month and I have one last bit of inspiration using our June kit.  These two lovelies were created by Karen.

Who knew that CAS could be so amazing!!  Karen ROCKS the CAS cards.  She always adds the right "wow" to her cards.  The top card with the POP of grey in the flag and the bottom card with the POP of green/yellow in the ribbon, just brilliant!!!  LOVE these cards!!

Happy Thursday. I am kind of excited about today. Tony and I get to go on a date. He is taking a music appreciation class this summer to complete his degree and part of his assignment is to go to come concerts. So tonight we are going to the Hylton Performing Arts Center. It will be a nice evening. :-)

Today I have some more inspiration from our Delightful Designer, Missy, using our June scrapbook kit. :-)

Come Sail Away

Happy Sunday my friends!! I am happy it is Sunday because I only have one more day, after today, to work until I have a day off. My schedule has me working usually 5 days in a row starting on Wednesday or Thursday. I need a day off, lol!! T-minus 37 days. In 37 days I will be cramped in a car (well Ford Explorer that at least has 3 rows of seating)for 4 to 5 days with 5 other people and 2 dogs and one of those dogs is like another person. It's going to be an interesting trip. Thankfully my organized mind has planned our travel out so that we are only driving about 400-500 miles a day and then stopping. AND I planned that the hotels we stay in have a pool or some sort of activity we could do close by so the kids can burn some of their bottled up energy and go to sleep with no problem.  I am so looking forward to the day we leave.  We will be closing a chapter in our life that has been rough (a tiring two years with many sacrifices) and starting a new one.  One with so many possibilities and I cannot wait to get it started. 

So unfortunately that house I spoke about the other day was a bust.   BUT I am waiting to hear back from an even cooler house and I will share those pictures when I have confirmation that we got it.  I am pretty excited about this potential house.  My friend went to visit it and was in SHOCK!!  She couldn't believe how spacious it was and how beautiful it was.

Ok, so I just realized that this month is almost over which means this is June's last project with us.  I am so happy that June was a part of our team.  She is extremely talented and super sweet.  I am super happy to have met her in person.  Even though we haven't been able to see each other since I will be sad knowing I am not living "close" to her anymore.  I feel very lucky to call her my friend.

I will have two posts for your tomorrow.  In the morning I will have another inspiring project to share from our DT and then in the afternoon I will have our July kit reveal and announce the winner of our sketch challenge.  :-) 

 

2 masculine cards

Good Morning and TGIF!!!! So there was a bit of a problem with that house yesterday. I am so thankful that I have a friend out there that was able to go check out the house.  Apparently the previous owners or tenants had cats and it peed all over the house.  My friend said she walked in the house and it smelled like a cat box.  I am upset because the property manager/realtor never disclosed that info prior to me dishing out money for the application fee.   Good news is we have another application submitted on an even nicer house and we should hear back today.  PLUS my friend is going over to the house and checking it out today.  It is definitely the nicer of the two houses and is in a super duper nice neighborhood.  Cross your fingers we get that house.  :-)

Tony and I mass applied for jobs yesterday and he already received an email on one of the places he applied.  Plus I had applied somewhere back in April and technically got the job, I was just waiting for new training classes to start.  I also applied at some places in the town we will be living.  With kids in daycare and school(with no bus transportation), I need to be accessible to pick them up on time.

Hello Miss America

Happy Thursday!!! This week is almost over, WAHOOOO!!! I am extremely excited, we found a home and we didn't have to jump through hoops because we didn't have jobs. :-) We are only renting the home but I am just excited about ALL the extra space we will have. The house is double in size from what we have now. I will have a craft room!!! My kids will have room to play. We will have a back yard!!! I have a few pictures to share. When searching for a home whether it be to purchase or lease, what is the most important features for you? Well for Tony and I it's the kitchen and garage. Mainly the kitchen though, we do so much cooking that if we don't have sufficient counter space and such then we pass right over the house. We saw a couple nice houses but had to skip over them because the kitchen was TINY!! Ok, so here are the pictures.

 We also had to make sure it was an eat in kitchen that would fit our 6 foot long table that we made.  LOL!!  The back yard is large but as many of you know in Arizona, desert landscape is ideal and apparently they didn't get the memo at this house because it has "grass" well dead grass.  LOL!! That doesn't bother me I just want space for my kids and dogs to run.

 I am just so excited about all of this!!  Now just to find some jobs and we will be set!!!!  :-)  It doesn't feel real yet because we don't have keys and we haven't officially signed the lease yet, just waiting for the property manager to get it all together but for now this is where we have decided.  :-)

Summer Picnic

Hey there my crafty friends!!  I am so excited another week is almost over.  I have exactly 6 weeks before we move.  Tony started job applying last night.  Boy oh boy I thought the application process for the jobs I was applying for was long and detailed.  The management application process is so much longer.  I think it took him over an hour to apply for one job.  WOW!!  

We will be renting when we move and we just filled out paperwork on a house.  My only worrying about trying to get a house now is we don't have jobs.  They usually want to see huge savings account balances to let us rent without jobs.  While we have a savings account I can't necessarily say it's HUGE.  LOL!!  But if we get this house I will be SOOOOO happy.  I don't want to jinx it and talk about it as if I have gotten it so I will just share more when I know for sure.  

Today you are in for a treat.  Erin completely went all out with today's projects.  Not only did she make a muffin wrapper, but she made a tag, a card, AND an altered bag.  WOW!!!  Take a look!!

Play Day and You are my sunshine

Happy Tuesday! How is your week going so far? Mine is ok, have to work a couple hours today but that's ok because Tony has off so we can spend most of the day together. :-)

I am not sure if you have been keeping track but with these 2 LO's this makes a total of 4 LO's that Missy has created using our June scrapbook kit.  And the best part is I still have 2 more (I think, maybe 3) LO's to share with you that she created.  I am not sure what she has left after creating 6 or 7 LO's but if you have been following my blog or Missy's blog you will know she makes some amazing (layered) LO's.  Each month our designers are only asked to create 4 projects and most of the time they make more and almost always they have a TON of stuff left over.  Artful Delight kits are a great value - packed with a ton of fun goodies that coordinate so well together.  Debbie has done a fantastic job putting together our kits each month - July and August I can assure you will not let you down either.  And with CHA coming and all the new awesome goodies that are coming out, I am certain our kits will continue to be amazing.

As I mentioned a month or so ago, with my upcoming move I will not be ordering a bunch of extra kits, if you are subscriber you will be certain to receive a kit.  Our subscriptions are no obligation - you can cancel at any time.

Baby

Good morning my friends!! Did you see the random boxes I had up for sale yesterday? Did you get one? I had 8 boxes filled with 40 sheets of pattern paper and a variety of embellishments. It took me all morning to organize all the stuff I wanted to get rid of.

 I will be adding some Hero Arts shadow inks to the store maybe later today or tomorrow. I will also be getting the new Tim Holtz Limited Edition Summer distress inks - the 3 pack and reinkers, probably later this week. :-)

We are 44 days until move day and I couldn't be more overwhelmed. I got a promotion at my job so now I work a lot more. Still not full time but when I have work, school, my kids, and continuing to plan my move it's a lot to get through. I have been absent from visiting blogs lately (probably over the last month or so) and I apologize. I hope after the move and things settle down that I will be back to crafting and blog hopping. I have given up on trying to craft. For the past 2 months or so most of my craft stuff has been packed so crafting was a bit stressful because I couldn't find anything. I just gave up and started to pack the rest of my stuff. Thankfully I have an awesome team that will keep the inspiration flowing for me. :-)

 Hello my friends. I wanted to stop in and post up some random boxes I have for sale.   I have 7 boxes filled with a scrapbooker in mind and 1 box filled with a card maker in mind.

I am selling the boxes for a flat fee of $10.95.  The goodies will be shipped in a Priority Mail flat rate box because of how heavy they are. 

Each scrapbook box will include 40 sheets of 12x12 paper and this is a variety of papers from all of our past kits.
