Make everyday special

Good Morning my friends. Last night was a bit emotional for me. Someone I used to work with passed away yesterday morning. It was an older couple I worked with several years ago. We worked in a small call center that only consisted of like 8 people so we were all pretty close. I remained in touch with the wife over the years through Facebook. She messaged me to tell me her husband had passed. Apparently they had both gotten the stomach bug and his turned in to pneumonia. Yesterday morning at 3am she ended up having to perform CPR on her husband to try and keep him alive. It didn't work. So needless to say I have been really upset. The last person I lost was my grandpa and I was like 10. I don't really know how to deal with death.

Well the title of today's LO sure does put it all in perspective. You really do have to make everyday special because anything can happen.

This LO really is beautiful. It puts a smile on my face, so bright and colorful. For more details about this LO please visit Abby's blog.

Well I have an English final to go take this morning and then I will be heading to the library with my family. We have a heat advisory all day so I am assuming it's gonna be a hot one. We will be staying inside. :-)

If ya'll get a chance today (if you haven't played along already) try out this month's sketch. You have until this evening to link up your project. You are playing for August monthly kit and I can tell you just from the Delightful Designers reaction to the kit, it is one you want to win. The papers in the kit are just beautiful. And it is packed with beautiful coordinating embellishments.

Happy Crafting!!

So sorry for your loss. Our work friends often become like family we spend so much time together. I'm sure your friendship will be a comfort to his wife.

And have fun at the library. We are heading there this afternoon. I just linked up for the challenge. I thought it would be fun to make a card with the sketch. :)

I would SO love to participate in this month's sketch challenge and have the chance to win August's kit, as i know it must be just FABULOUS! However, we are right in the process of moving to our very first house, my fiance and i... and most of my scrapbooking supplies are packed away in boxes until the beginning of August.
I can't wait to be able to start creating again!

My sympathies for your loss :(
