Happiness will find you

Can you believe it is the last day of November?

I am in shock that this year is almost over.  I know it is a bit early but my New Year's resolution is to do better with our household budget and with our finances.  Since our move things have been a little our of wack and next year I will do better with that.  LOL!!

So today is the last project we will be sharing using our November kit.  There are still some left if you would like to pick one up.  Click here to make your purchase.

Our Delightful Designer, Rose will end the month with a bang with this awesome card.

Love and Thanks...

Happy Wednesday.

Only 3 more days of work. This weekend there is a Holiday Festival at my kids school that should be super fun, can't wait.

So today we have two projects to share.  One from our Delightful Designer Karen, and the other from Erin.  Today is Erin's last post with Artful Delight.  I hope that she has been an amazing inspiration for all of you over the last 6 months.  If you weren't already followers I hope you became one so Erin can continue to inspire you with her awesome creations.

First up is Karen's card.  I love what she did with the elements in the kit.
Karen
Next up is Erin, I also love what she did with the elements from the kit.  In the second project she used the fabric heart and created another embellishment with it.  Rose created a similar embellishment on one of her projects.  Love how the team has thought outside the box with the kit contents this month.  :-)

Erin

I want to thank Erin for all the work she did for Artful Delight over the last 6 months.  It was an honor to have her on the team.  :-)

DAY 7 and WINNER

Happy Sunday.

Today I am thankful for a lot.  I am thankful for our veterans who fight for me to be free.  I have many friends whose husbands are in the military, Tony's dad was a Marine and my uncle was also in the military.

I am thankful that I have the means to be able to make this post today to give thanks for all that I have.  I have a roof over my head and food on my table.  My children laugh and play every day.  I am thankful that they have the freedom to do so.

I am thankful for the mistakes that I have made in my life to bring to me where I am today.

I am thankful for my job and my cars that I have that allow me to get to my job.
Speaking of my job, so my love of crafting got me a day of paid time off on Monday.  LOL!  So we have a mandatory meeting in December, it's like a Christmas party but we HAVE to attend and we get paid for it.  Well the theme is ugly sweater.  I work for a bank and there are 8 branches within our market so we wanted to do something with the ugly sweater thing as a team.  We couldn't find inexpensive sweaters so we decided to all wear turtle necks.  I can't remember the last time I wore one of those.  LOL!  So my task is to decorate the turtle necks to "make them ugly."  So I get off on Monday, paid day off, to stay home and decorate the shirts.  In addition we have to put on a skit, we have to chose a scene from a Christmas movie (one where all 11 of us at our branch can be in it) and change the words of that scene to be bank related.  Somehow I was put in charge of that.  Now this is going to cause me to think outside the box because I am a paper crafter not a movie writer.  LOL!!  So if any of you have any suggestions it would be greatly  appreciated.
I will show you the shirts when I am done.  I have to "alter" 11 turtle necks to make them ugly.  Wish me luck, lol.

Anywho,

For all that I am thankful for I made extra sure that I gave back this Thanksgiving holiday.  I donated money to charities to feed families for the holiday.  I am trying to give back as much as I can because so many people helped me out over the years, especially when I was a single mom for about 6 years.

I am thankful that I have off on Sundays so I can watch football. (lol)

I am thankful to have the next two days off so hopefully I can fee better.  I came home from work last night and took some medicine and went to bed, I got a pretty awesome nights sleep.

And as always I am thankful for all of you.  I am thankful that each month I get to announce a winner of my sketch challenge.  :-)

So the winner of this month's sketch challenge is:

Libeeti from Creations with Love

Please email me with your December kit selection and your mailing address.  :-)

leeanne@artfuldelight.com

Alright well I am off to the store to get my Christmas tree.  The kids are excited to decorate it.  :-) And then it is football time.  :-)

DAY 6 of our week of thanks and Happiness (giveaway)

Good Morning!!

Today is DAY 6 of our week of THANKS!!  I am feeling a bit under the weather today.  Not sure what it is,  I have the aches of a flu but the stuff nose and ear pain like a cold or something.

But overall I am THANKFUL that is the worst of my sickness.  All in all I am healthy, definitely need to shed a few lot of pounds but I am healthy, my kids are healthy and so it Tony.

What are you thankful for today?

Have you enjoyed our inspiration this month?  There has been a lot of it.  So fun, huh!?!

Today's inspiration is brought to us by our Delightful Designer, Sherry.

SHERRY

Love the B&W background with the pops of color.

Alright, well yesterday ended our sketch challenge for this month.  I will announce the winner tomorrow when I post my final day of thanks for the week.  :-)

Day 5 of our week of thanks and TWO PROJECTS (giveaway)

Good morning!
So how that your turkey day?

Mine was fabulous.  It was wonderful to spend the day with my family.  Back to work today though, ugh!!

So today is day 5 of our week of thanks and today I am thankful for a job.  Other than my part time job I worked for about a year when I moved to Arizona, I haven't worked a full time "real" job in over 5 years.  When we moved to Arizona, we both didn't have jobs.  I was confident we would find jobs quickly but still a bit scary not to have jobs.

I got my job a week after we arrived.  It certainly isn't a long term job, at least financially but I do see myself moving up in the company.  We are also trying to get Tony a job there too.  Not at my location but one of the many in our market/surrounding area.
I am thankful I have a job to go to everyday.

What are you thankful for today?

Click here for details about our giveaway this week.

Can you believe the month is almost over?  So the 25th is on Sunday and that would be our kit reveal day however it will be delayed this month.  With the holidays and shipping schedules we are running a bit late.  Be on the look out for the new kit on the 27th or so.  Sorry for the delay.

TGIF!!!  Today we have two projects to share.  First up is an awesome card created by Rose.

Happy Thanksgiving and DAY 4 of Thanks! (giveaway)

Happy Thanksgiving my friends!!

I don't have a project to share with you today but I did want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my bloggy friends that celebrate this holiday.

Today I am thankful for my family.  Tony and I have been together almost 7 years (anniversary is Dec 17) and together we created 3 beautiful, loving, wonderful children.  I am thankful that he has accepted and loved my daughter like his own and has been an amazing role model for her.

I am also thankful that he is an AMAZING cook and he will be making me my family the most juicy and delicious turkey.  Oh yum!!!

I am also thankful that he is supportive of me and my obsession with crafting and Artful Delight.  He truly is a wonderful man and I couldn't imagine life without him.

My kids are my everything.  They warm my heart every minute of every day.  They brighten my day when I am tired and upset from work.  They give me kisses, love and hugs when I most need it.

I am thankful we were able to make our move to Arizona.  I have met some wonderful people here.  Reunited with a friend from high school (who was kind enough to make sure we had something to do for our turkey day) , our wonderful community of people, great people that I work with and the handful of customers that I truly enjoy chatting with everyday.  I got to meet a bunch of amazing crafty people that I feel extremely honored to now call my friend (and I will see you ladies on Saturday)  :-)

We have an amazing place to live and couldn't ask for better weather (that's right it will be 81 degrees today)

I just feel so lucky right now.  I may not have all the money I would like but I have the love and support from everyone around me.

Phew, that was a lot to be thankful for!!!

What are you thankful for?

Day 3 of our week of THANKS (giveaway) and TWO CARDS

Oh is it really Wednesday today?

And is November already almost over?

WOW, seriously time is flying.

Today is Day 3 of our week of thanks.  Today I am thankful for an awesome school for my kids to go to.  Here in Maricopa (AZ) it seems there are schools on every corner.  There are several public schools and several Chartered schools and then a huge high school.  But my kids school is amazing.  I think that is why I like to volunteer so much.  Yesterday I volunteered for a 3rd grade Greek Olympic activity.  The 3rd grade got to dress in dress up and then play outside for 2 hours, doing sack races, dodge ball, an obstacle course and more.  It was super fun.  The principles (for both the elementary and high school - grade k-12 go to the same school) stand at the entrance gate every morning and welcome all the kids.  They already know both of my kids by name.  I am just thankful to be a part of an awesome school.  I am excited to have all my kids go there.

What are you thankful for today?

Check out the giveaway details here.

Next up is our crafty projects.  Karen and Erin are sharing their creations today.

Great Adventure and DAY 2 of our week of thanks (giveaway)

Hello my friends.

I loved reading all the comments yesterday and seeing what all of you are thankful for.

Today is Day 2 of our week of thanks and today I am thankful for Debbie.

Debbie  has been with me since Day 1, so just over two years.  She was on our first ever design team.  Then when her term was up we decided that she would stay on the team and help out picking items for the kits and then it turned in to a lot more.  Debbie helps me out soooooooo much and I honestly couldn't do it without her.  Each month she puts together our amazing kits.  She helps on our blog and the DT blog.  She really is amazing and I totally couldn't do it without her.  So today I am thankful for Debbie.   THANK YOU Debbie for all your help!!!  :-)

What are you thankful for?

And now for today's project.  Our Delightful Designer, Kate created using our November scrapbook kit.

Two awesome projects and a week of thanks AND a GIVEAWAY

It's a holiday week and I LOVE holiday weeks.  I practically work every other day.  LOL!  That will make the week go by really fast.  I can't believe this month is almost over.  I also can't believe this YEAR is almost over.  YIKES!!!

Since this week is Thanksgiving I want to have a week of thanks.  Each day this week I will post what I am thankful for.  Feel free to leave comments and let me know what you are thankful for.  Ya know what, let's make this in to a GIVEAWAY!!

I would like to kick off my week of thanks by saying THANK YOU to all of you. It has been an amazing two years.  It was certainly a slow start but we are doing our best to spread the word about our amazing kits.  I am thankful to have had two years of amazing team members.  Twice a year I get to welcome a new group of super talented and super sweet ladies to all of you.  And for six months they inspire you and tempt you to buy our kits. :-)  I am thankful for all of you who visit my blog.  No matter how often you visit, without all of you Artful Delight wouldn't be able to continue.  I want to thank those who have been subscribers since day 1 as well as those that have just started.  What that means to me is that our kits continue to be amazing.  THANK YOU!!!!!

So here is how the giveaway will work.  Leave a comment comment each day and let me know what you are thankful for.  Then on Monday next week I will use random.org to chose a number 1-7, this will be the day of the week and then random.org will chose a number for the comment left on that day, that will be the winner.  So is random.org chooses 5, then we will chose a winner from Friday's comments.  :-)
Oh and the winner will get a box of goodies which will include one of our kits (may be a past kit or our present kit).

So what better way to start the week then with TWO projects.  Our Delightful Designers, Ashley and Kate will be sharing some inspiration today.

Aren't these projects awesome and totally inspiring?

Well that's all for today, I hope you all enjoy your Monday!

See you back here tomorrow.  :-)

So Sweet

Goooooood Morning!!  Sunday=Football, yippeeeeeee!!  :-)

Hopefully I will be able to get my errands done before football starts, I have to get some groceries and all the fixins for turkey day.  What are your plans for the holiday week?  Do you have family coming to town?  Are you going out of town to visit family?

Well, we have no family here in Arizona so we will spend the day with just us which I am A.O.K with.  We are going to make a feast for 50 (lol) like we always do and hopefully get to watch our favorite movie, A Christmas Story.

Do you go out shopping on Black Friday or Black Thursday?  Stores sure are opening a whole lot earlier as the years pass.  I remember last year when I worked at Michaels we opened at 4pm.  Thankfully I didn't have to work but I just can't believe that stores are opening on Thanksgiving now.

So here is Maricopa AZ it is still developing so the only retail store we have is a Walmart.  In order to go to a mall or Target or anything we have to drive 35-40 minutes.  So, my point is, my daughter and I thought about going out on Black Thursday for some of the Walmart deals but I foresee the entire town of Maricopa being there.  LOL! I have never gone out for Black Friday, wait I take that back, one year I went to Kmart for some deals they had in electronics and I remember waiting in line for a REALLY long time just to pay.

Alright, well we have a beautiful LO to share today.  Our Delightful Designer, Debbie created  this beauty.

DEBBIE
I always love all the fussy cutting and detail Debbie adds to her LO's.  :-)

That's it for today.  If you get crafty today be sure to play along with our sketch challenge.  You have until November 23rd.  :-)
