SFYTT - For 9/25/10

I am all out of titles for my posts, I just can't think of anything good anymore, LOL! Anywho last night I was EXHAUSTED. I had school and took another Math test which I aced. WAHOO! But by the time the kids were in bed, I ate dinner, showered and sat down to relax my eyes were burning from being so tired. So I made my card this morning (well took me all morning and in to the afternoon with my lil ones running around) and I participated in SFYTT.

Ok, so yes it is a Halloween card and it says "HI" but I don't have any Happy Halloween sentiments plus I think it would have been too big to go in that spot, so I went with a small sentiment with some super cool Thickers that I have for sale at Artfuldelight. Ooohh, more sneak peaks for the release of October's Monthly kit that will be up for sale tomorrow (probably in the afternoon). I am really excited about this kit because I think it will entice the scrapper and STAMPER. This kit will include a stamp set, chipboard shapes, buttons, Thickers and tons more so be sure to check back tomorrow for the release of the kit. I also used Nikki Sivils Boo-tiful 6x6 Mini Paddie on this card. This collection is super cute, love the colors! The Mini Paddie is also available at Artfuldelight. Don't you just love that spider, well it is included in October's kit. It is raw chipboard that I used some heat and stick powder and black glitter, it matched so nicely with the Thickers that I used for the "hi".

Well there ya have it. I am still trying to make it through all the DT emails I received and hopefully (fingers crossed) will have the team picked and posted tomorrow. Might be a couple more days though, seriously I don't think I received one email with creations that I didn't say WOW!!! So off to study for a test I have tomorrow.

Beware of dog...

Good Morning my friends, I have another LO to share with you today. Jamie has really been helping me out, school has been taking up my time (a little more than I thought) so she is going to share with you some LO's she made. Today's LO uses some fabulous products from Basic Grey.

The pattern paper Jamie used is Max and Whiskers! So cute! I am going to leave this post short as I have some DT submissions to go through, study for a Math test, complete some Accounting problems, maybe hit the gym, and then of course actually go to school. So it is a busy day. Oh don't forget to get creative with our first sketch challenge. You still have several weeks to get that LO done so no rush but you will want to get in on the chance to win November's monthly kit!

Embossed Tree - SSS75

All day long yesterday I thought it was Wednesday. I wonder how the rest of this week is going to go now. Don't you hate when that happens, you think it's a different day than it really is? For today's card I participated in The Sweet Shop's sketch challenge. I used to try and play along every week but it certainly has been a while.
I was so excited to be able to use a couple different products on this card. The super fabulous tree is from Practicing Creativity Designs, I white embossed it and colored in the image with my Stampin' UP! markers. The pattern paper is from Nikki Sivils called My Friend Birdie. The ribbon is from Stampin' UP! The sentiment is an Artfuldelight exclusive set. My first one that I am still in the works. I should have them up for sale in the next week or so. I will also have some projects to post with the set. The PCD and Nikki Sivils products are currently for sale at Artfuldelight. So this really sucked, I had planned to do a stitch line down the ribbon to secure it to the card, I used a little adhesive and some glue dots to keep it in place while I attached it and then ran it through my sewing machine. Yeah, bad idea!!! I think the glue dots kept jamming up my machine. I was getting so angry. LOL! So I quickly decided against putting a stitch line down along the ribbon.

CAS - Wee Memories Challenge #24

I would like to say that CAS cards are very tough for me and this one was no exception. LOL! I ALWAYS want to add more. Even though this card has very little on it, it took me while to make it. LOL! I am participating in Wee Memories Challenge #24 - CAS project or a project with tags or you can do both. Since I don't have any tags I chose a CAS card it also allowed me to think outside my usually comfort zone.

So I used some white glimmer paper I purchased from my LCS, I love this paper. I think they said it was from The Paper Co. Then I used some of my stamp sets from one of my favorite stamp companies, Practicing Creativity Designs. Courtney has done a fabulous job creating all of her sets. I can't say enough about them. I think I have all but one or two of her sets for sale at Artfuldelight! Ok so for the sentiment I used Chatterbox and the flowers is from her Barefoot Summer set. Both sets are amazing! I used a blender pen and PrismaColor Pencils to color in the flowers. And there ya have it. Have a great Sunday!

Another September Birthday! SSSC86

What a busy month for birthdays. I have come across several blogs with crafters that have a September birthday then I have several friends and family members with September birthdays. YIKES! I should say 9 months ago people were really getting busy. LOL! Anywho, this Sunday is my DT members Birthday. She doesn't have a blog or anything but I know she frequents my blog so let's all wish Jamie a Happy Birthday (September 26). She has been amazing this month with all her LO's she has made for me.

I made this card a couple days ago to send her for her birthday but I couldn't really post it because she had not received it yet. I hope she has received it because now I have it posted. LOL! I am participating in this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and it closes tonight.

Here is the card I sent Jamie for her birthday. No stamping again! :-) I used items from Fancy Pants, It's Your Day collection. LOVE IT! It is available at Artfuldelight.com. The letters are Thickers, Hocus Pocus in white, also available at Artfuldelight.

First Day of School LO

Good Morning! So first I would like to say that it is with sad heart that one of the pups died. If you read my blog yesterday and saw the pics you know what I am talking about. It was the "runt" of the bunch. She was too tiny to feed from the mama so Jamie was bottle feeding her. She said she noticed around midnight that she was struggling to breathe and at 4:30am she noticed she was gone. Poor pup!
Despite all that Jamie made a LO. She has had her hands so full the last couple days and I really appreciate she did that. I have probably said this before but she truly has been amazing this month. One more month alone designing until the DT is in place. I am sure she will be relieved when that happens. LOL!
Here is her LO using Artfuldelight's September Monthly Kit

Another fabulous LO, she really has rocked out this month's kit. I really like the flower she made, that is pretty cool. It looks like she was used a lot of the items from the kit. I see the Tim Holtz ruler ribbon and a brad from the School Spirit collection as well as several die cuts. This month's kit really is packed with goodies. As well as next month. I really hope you will like it.

Oh I also wanted to give a heads up to make sure you check back on Thursday, September 23. I will be having a giveaway that will be 24hrs only, it will be a giveaway to celebrate my birthday. I am not sure what I will be giving away yet so make sure you come back. I will try and get the post up at midnight on the 23rd and will end at 11:59pm. YIPPEE!!! Ok have a good day all, I have one busy day ahead of me.

What happened

Blogger is not my friend today. For some reason it posted my post twice from this morning. I would delete one but I have comments on both and I don't want to delete them, they make me happy. LOL! Really they do though, so please just disregard the double posting of the same darn post. Has anyone else with Blogger experienced trouble? Over the last week or so, it doesn't want to load or it freezes up or in this instance double posts? Oh well have a good day!

Alice in Wonderland

Good Morning friends! WOW, the start of another week. Thankfully my children are feeling a bit better and I don't have any tests. LOL! What a better way to start your day/week than some adorable pictures of the newest additions to Jamie's family. LOL! We haven't had any creations from Jamie in quite a few days because her pup was having pups. So she has been busy helping with the delivery and caring for the lil ones. Here are some pics:

Look at how small those pups are! I would so love to cuddle with one, well all of the pups. They are so stinkin' CUTE! So needless to say Jamie has had her hands full this week. So instead I have a card to share with you. Oh and bonus there are some sneak peaks of items in October's monthly kit. YIPPEE!!

So I participated in this week's SFYTT over at i{heart}2stamp. Here is the sketch:
So I used the new Graphic 45 8x8 paper pad, Hallowe'en in Wonderland, which is available over at Artfuldelight. Now I will admit this is a little different than the normal style paper I use but I thought these papers were really cool. So I gave it a try. OH I can't believe I almost forgot, I also participated in Wee Memories Challenge # 23 S.O.S. (Scallops, Orange, String). You had to use 2 out of the 3 but I think I managed to use all 3. YAY for me! LOL! I totally forgot how much I LOVE embossing, especially clear on Kraft cardstock. So I used PCD's For the Love of Dots (also available at Artfuldelight) stamp set to create the background.

Ok well that's it for now. Hope y'all have a great week!

Live today

Just a quick post, it has been quite the week with 3 sick cranky kids, being sick myself and 2 tests (along with all the homework). I made this card for my dad. I am sending him a framed picture of him and the grandkids from the visit over the summer. Yes I know it has been several months but getting to the post office sometimes is tough. First I would like to share the pic of my dad and all his grandkids.
Yup, 4 of the 5 kids are mine. LOL! The 4 in the front actually.
Next is a pic of my card, I am not so good with masculine cards. I ended saw this card design on Kristina's blog, her blog is on my list of favorites.

I used different paper and a different stamp but the same design was used. I REALLY do love the Brook collection from Crate Paper (which is available at Artfuldelight).

Oh, I also wanted to let you know I will be getting a bunch of new products next week. I am so excited. I will reveal what they are when I actually get them in.

Also, don't forget to enter my challenge, it ends on Monday. I have some great prizes to give away!

Just one more time.......

Good Morning, friends! Happy hump day! Today I am a bit nervous because I have my first Accounting test. I draw a blank when it comes to tests. If I were to just sit in class and my Prof were to "quiz" us (outloud or whatever) on what we know I would be able to answer the question but you make it official and call it a "test" no books no notes and I draw a blank. I don't have my test until 2pm so I will be studying most of the morning (if my kids let me). Oh, some good news, I aced my Math test. WAHOO!!

So I have another LO for you from the fabulous Jamie. She really has worked hard the last couple weeks, getting all these LO's done for me. I really and truly appreciate all she has done. She makes some fabulous LO's.

I really do love this collection, I love the colors of the School Spirit papers. They all seem to go really well with Kraft card stock and we all know I love Kraft. LOL! Well if y'all have an account set up with Scrapbook.com be sure to check out Jamie's gallery and leave her some lovely comments.

I also wanted to say that I have received a large interest in my DT. I really am surprised at how many submissions I have gotten. I would like to let everyone know that applied that I think you are ALL FABULOUS. It really and truly is going to be tough for me to turn anyone down. There is not one submission that I have gotten that isn't just amazing. It has come down to the fact that I just want to put everyone's name in a hat and just draw the DT that way. Really, how do you chose one fabulous creation over another. I have also thought about closing the DT call early just so I don't have to get anymore fabulous LO's or cards and have to turn anyone else down. Ya know what I am going to close down the DT call, I just can't handle thinking of having to turn anyone else down. The DT term will still run starting in Nov but this way I will have a bit more time to chose the team and get it all set up. THANK YOU! to everyone that submitted their fabulous work.

My teacher

So I finally decided to play around with the September Monthly Kit and boy is it a great kit. LOL! Can I say that? I was a bit bummed at first to think that I would have no one to give a "school" themed card to. My daughter is in middle school and I am not sure she would give her teachers a card like that. You know how teenagers are. LOL! But then I remembered that my son is in speech therapy and he has a "teacher" I could give it to. Not sure when or for what, I guess I could wait for teacher appreciation. But either way I will keep this card for her. My lil guy really likes her.

I'm not sure why but I was a bit camera happy taking these pictures. Very rare for me but there was no stamping at all on this card.
Wait, what I thinking or not thinking I guess, I totally forgot that I made this card to play along with SFYTT over at i{heart}2stamp. This card was so fun to make, getting to use several of the items from September's kit. The Tim Holz ruler tape is awesome, I used my sewing machine to make sure it was adhered to the paper real good. If you haven't already, you should check out the kit, it is packed with good-ness! Hope ya'll have a great day!

More time.....

I went ahead and extended last week's challenge. It had ended this morning but I realized that a week may not be long enough to get a LO done. So I extended the challenge to next Monday. Be sure to scroll down to see my other post for today.

Thankful for.......

I am thankful for all the great friends I have met in the crafting world you are all truly special to me!! Today's card I used another new stamp set from Practicing Creativity Designs. Oh she has some fabulous stamp sets and Fall Fest is no exception.

Well for starters the image is called Mr. Straw from Digital Delights by Looby Lou. I colored him with my Prisma Colored Pencils and blender pen. The scallop flower I cut out with my Cricut. I inked the edges with Creamy Brown Colorbox Chalk Ink. The pattern paper is from Graphic 45 Hallowe'en in Wonderland which is available at Artfuldelight. The leaves were stamped with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive ink from Stampin' UP! and Chestnut Roan Colorbox Chalk Ink. I inked the sentiment in Dark Brown Colorbox Chalk Ink. I certainly love Colorbox Chalk Ink and I am so excited that I will be stocking my store with that ink very soon. I have it all on order. :-)

I hope y'all enjoyed today's card and I hope y'all have a fabulous week. Oh and don't forget Fall Fest as well as all of PCD's stamp sets are available at Artfuldelight. (correction all of her sets except My Beach House) Be sure to check them out, I have all but My Beach House and I absolutely LOVE her sets. They are all so versatile.

Please Vote

I added a poll to my sidebar (at the top), please vote. I am trying to gather my items for November's Monthly Kit and I was wondering which collection is a popular one. Voting doesn't mean you have to buy the kit, it is really just to see which collection is more liked. So if you could just take a moment and select one, I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh and don't forget to scroll down to see the card I made today, this is my second post for the day!

Happy Crafting!!

Holly Jolly?

Edit: I made a little correction to today's card. I felt it was a bit plan on the top of the card and I saw a Birthday over at Karen's blog where she layered the Poinsettia. I am not sure why I didn't think of that before. LOL! But I thought I would change my card up a bit and see how I liked it and I think it filled in the top of the card a little bit better. So I have a before and after picture of the card.

I can't believe I am thinking about Christmas. I know most of you have already and have also probably made a ton of Christmas cards. For me making a card in September is weird but last year I think I waited until November-ish and then it left me stressing about getting them all done.

What better way to kick off my Christmas card making than to use a brand new stamp set from Practicing Creativity Designs. This stamp set is super cute. It has a bunch of great sentiments and several very beautiful images.

Before

After
I have also decided that outdoors are not for me with taking photos of my cards and projects. In the first card you can't even see the score lines on the front of the card.

The Pretty Poinsettia is from Squigglefly. I used some stickles to go around the edges of the flower as well as around the "Christmas" sentiment. My picture really turned out a bit crappy. Sorry about that. I may take a new one later today. It was a bit windy when I took this picture and I had to be quick about it. I don't think you can tell in this picture but the "have a holly jolly" is stamped with red and green ink. Hope y'all have a great Sunday!

The Christmas Wonder stamp set by Practicing Creativity Designs can be purchased at Artfuldelight along with all of PCD's stamp set.

Good things to come

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Today is my first day of school. Yikes.....school really. Ok wait I take it back I don't wanna go!!! J/K I am totally excited to get the party started. Look out Lord Fairfax Community College, make way for Leeanne!

Ok well because of the added full time school schedule to my already crazy busy days, I had to make some changes. I feel certain I won't be able to blog and craft as much, well mostly craft and with trying to get my online store running (again) that is probably not the best thing. In addition, I LOVE crafting and meeting new people.

SOOOOO, a couple things....... First I am going to start a monthly scrapbooking kit. I have met a lot of scrappers and I thought it would be fun to have a monthly kit. I will have 1, 3 and 6 month subscriptions. I think they will be at a great price and packed with tons of wonderful supplies. On or around September 1, September's kit will be released. The exact date is still a bit unknown because the kit will include new products that are releasing this week.

Ok second, I have found a FABULOUS illustrator/artist through Etsy and we have been working together to create a super cute stamp set. On Wednesday I will start showcasing the cards I made using the set. Then on September 1 I will be taking pre-orders for the stamp set that will be selling for $9.99+ shipping. Depending on what type of response I get will determine when they will be shipped. You won't have to pay until I ship them to you.

Third, I am having a design team call. You can be a scrapper or card maker. Basically whether LO's or cards are your forte you will receive the same monthly kit to work your magic. However, if you are a card maker and a scrapper and I have a new release on a stamp set, you will receive the stamp set as well and be asked to make a couple cards and a couple LO's.
Now for the first month (September), my friend that I met on the world wide web and I will be handling the projects. This will give me time to get some entries for the DT, make a selection and get everyone started. The DT call will go through the month of September. Then I will make a decision no later than that first week of October so I can have the monthly kit in the mail to the DT by the 15th of October. The DT term will start November 1 and run for 3 months. This is just a trial. After the 3 months when I run it again I may go for a longer term. Not sure yet. Or I may extend the current DT for 3 more months. Well that is I will give the option to each member if they want to extend for 3 months longer. I am looking for 3-6 DT members.

School will really be the deciding factor on how many people I chose, will depend on how much time school really takes from me. If I am able to create even a little then I won't need to chose as many.
What I will request from each member is to make one project a week. If you are a card maker I would like one card and if you are a scrapper I would like one LO. I would ask that you would have a blog or online gallery and would need you to link my blog and online store. If you have a blog I will have a button I would like for you to display on your sidebar.

So basically each DT member will receive the upcoming month's kit and possibly a stamp set, hopefully by the 15th of the previous month. For example, October 15th you will receive November's kit.
To enter the DT call I would ask that you submit 3 projects, either cards or LO's or both and email them to me. In the subject line put "Design Team" and in the email be sure to tell me if you would be a scrapper, card maker or both. Please tell me a little bit about yourself. That's it. :-) I hope I covered everything. My mind is a little jumbled with school thoughts. LOL! If you have any questions please send me an email. I know a lot of people can only create with products they like and companies they are familiar with so if you would like info about the products that I will be using in my kits just send an email. I want my DT to feel comfortable with the goodies they receive. I have heard friends say they were on a DT and didn't really like it because they didn't like the kits. My DT may also receive other items that I will be selling in my store to use so I can showcase their work on my blog.

We will be a team so I will encourage feedback as well as kit suggestions. If there is a specific product or company or paper, ETC that you would like to see in a kit, let me know and I will try and get it in a kit or whatever. My DT is there to promote Artfuldelight and the items I sell. If there is something you would like to try out, we can probably work that out, I get it to you for free in exchange for projects using that product and I will then stock it in my store. Does that make sense?

Ok, so I have just written a novel, sorry about that but I am just really excited about this. If y'all have been around for the last month or so you know I am a giver. I am excited to be able to share awesome products every month with a small group of ladies in exchange for fabulous projects to showcase on my blog, it seems to me like a win-win situation. :-)

I will now leave you with a super easy card I made yesterday afternoon. I used an image from Digital Delights called Lenny the Lion. I colored him with my Prismacolor Pencils and a blender pen. The sentiment I just typed on my computer and printed out. Oh and of course more crinkle ribbon, love it!!

Happy Crafting!!

Play ball.....

Yup that's right it's Friday! Time is really flying. I went to the grocery store yesterday and that had pumpkins for sale already. They were so pretty and shiny and looked really nice. I was going to buy some since they looked good but realized we had another month and a half before Halloween. I just can't wrap my brain around the fact that in 3 months it will be Christmas again. YIKES!

Well anyways, I have another great LO to share with you from the wonderful Jamie. She has been working so hard this week getting all these LO's done. I can't wait to have my DT chosen and in order so she can have a bit of relief. Jamie has made 3 super cute LO's using the September Monthly kit for sale now at Artfuldelight.com. Even if you pay the one month, single purchase price you are still getting all the items for almost 50% the cost if you were to buy everything individually. So be sure to check it out.

I really love the colors of the pattern paper in this collection. And the Thickers, LOVE the font. Way to go Jamie, another super fab LO! Oh and another thing, Artfuldelight is now on Facebook so hop on over and "like" me so you can get all the latest updates. Soon I will also have giveaways exclusively for my Facebook fans. Oh and my weekly challenge ends in 3 days so be sure to get in on the action for your chance to win some great prizes.

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Hey friend

Good Morning friends. Today I have a card to share using a fabulous stamp set from Practicing Creativity Design. This set has been out for a while but this is my first time using it. I think it is fabulous and I can't believe I waited so long to crack open the package. LOL!

The colors were chosen from Off the Wall Craftiness' Color Challenge. I love her color challenges. As much as I would love to enter her challenge every week, for some reason I have only been able to enter a few. The weeks just seem to fly by. Anywho, here is my card:

Again I used the stamp set from PCD called Key to My Heart. I have all of PCD's stamp sets available in my store, she has 10 total and I LOVE every single one of them. She actually just released 2 new sets for the holidays. One is called Fall Fest and the other one is Christmas Wonder. The super cool thing about Christmas Wonder is the fabulously talented Karen Baker designed the set. Check out Artfuldelight and all of PCD's stamp sets.

I used crystal effects from Stampin' UP! to color over the red diamonds as well as on the keys. And there ya have it. I hope y'all have a great day, I have some homework to do. I have 2 tests next week. One in Accounting and one in Math. I plan on get an A++++ on my Math test but the Accounting one, that's a different story. My brain hurts every day after Accounting class. LOL!

More Fabulousness

Is that even close to being a word? Probably not, LOL! Well either way I have another fabulous LO to share with you from Jamie. She really knows how to rock out the September Monthly kit. I think she managed to use one of everything in the kit in this LO! See here is the best thing about being a subscriber of our monthly kit, starting in November if you are a subscriber you will be able to help chose the kits. If there is some product you are dying to get your hands on, we can make a kit out of it. There will still only be one kit a month but I will accept and try to accommodate any and all product selections.
Basically if an upcoming months kit items have not been decided (purchased)yet then we will make the kit with what you want in it. With so many products out there I want to make sure you, as a subscriber, are happy with your monthly purchase.

Ok, on to the LO.....

Seriously, I love it!! Can you see the little apple chipboard in the bottom corner? I thought those were such a cute addition to the kit. I really think Jamie did a great job finding these items.

Have a sunshine day!

Did ya'll check out the LO I posted yesterday that DT member Jamie created, oh it was splendid! I really liked the way it turned out. If you didn't get a chance to see it, click here to check it out. That post is packed with goodness....a fabulous LO and a challenge with a giveaway. So be sure to clickety click and check it out. I will have another creation in the morning from Jamie and don't forget she is using products from our September Monthly Kit, click here to find the details and pricing.

Well now for today's project, this card I made the other day during one of my very few times I get to craft.
Ok so when I first saw this collection kit from Crate Paper called Brook, I KNEW I had to have it. If ya'll have been around a little bit you would see that most of my cards on a Kraft card base. I LOVE Kraft and so thought the papers from this collection would go PERFECT with Kraft. Boy was I right. These papers are fabulous, the colors are amazing, I just love it.

The flower in the middle is actually 3 separate die cuts from that collection that I layered to make one big flower and added a brad which is from Basic Grey. I did a little sewing stitch around the edge and used on of the sentiments from my stamp set. Now I know I did a little release with that a couple weeks ago but I still haven't formally named the set and I will have that all done and complete in the next week or so and will have it stocked around the first of October. The sentiment is a little light because I used Chestnut Roan Colorbox Chalk Ink and I guess I didn't push hard enough, I HATE when that happens. LOL!

Anywho, hope you like the card and don't forget to check out yesterdays post. :-) Oh, I can't believe I forgot to mention that the Brook Collection Kit from Crate Paper is available at Artfuldelight.com and there is a fabulously cheap price attached to it, check it out!!

A layout and a challenge

Good Morning my bloggy friends! I am really excited to share with you today the first LO using Artfuldelight's September Monthly Kit. I would like to say Thank You for all the kind comments about the changes I have been making, the monthly kit, the new stamp set and my DT call.

I am having a blast and really do appreciate everyone! So without further delay here is the layout my "one man" DT member Jamie created. I was so excited when she sent me the picture of the LO. It is super fabulous. Ok, ok here is it.....

We have a "no obligation" pricing option too so if you just want to purchase the current month you can. You can also check out Jamie's work in her gallery at Scrapbook.com....click here.
