Never A Thumb Sucker

Hello Monday...you came all together too quick!!

I had a long well needed two days off.  I worked almost 50 hours last week which included studying and stressing about our audit that happened at work on Thursday.

I was fortunate to have Saturday and Sunday off and it was magnificent.  Saturday I took my children to a birthday party.  Then at night after my younger kids went to bed my oldest daughter and I watched a movie and got some take out food.  Then on Sunday, other than some quick grocery shopping, I got to watch football almost all day....what a wonderful day.  Well except for my children that have had a horrible cranky two days.  I dunno what it was but they fought and whined and cried for two days.

I love my kids but I decided after this weekend that I need some mommy time.  I thought about each and every day, if I am not at working kissing a@@ and listening to people complain or tell (not funny) jokes, have to smile and be overly friendly then I am at home with my kids connected to my hip.  Other than my drive to work or if I run to the store for groceries I don't have any "me" time.  When I am home I can't go to the bathroom, or take a shower, or go in my craft room, or heck even sleep without a child  by my side.  I know I know I should love that my kids love me and want to be around me but for sanity sake I need a break.

BUT, I did  have a nice weekend home with my kids, I did miss them this past week working so many hours.  I worked open to close so by the time I got home it was time to sit for dinner, give my kids a shower, story time, and then off to bed.

Anywho, I have another week filled with awesome projects from our Design Team using our awesome October kits.

Also, any and all orders and subscriptions will be mailed today.  A lot of kits and such were shipped last week but anything that happened at the end of the week and any international orders will be shipped today.  I usually have a day off during the week to head to the post office but this week I worked M-F so I had no free time.  So sorry for any delays.
**edit - all orders will be shipped tomorrow  - as I went to prepare shipments and schedule a mail pickup, I was reminded that it was Columbus Day - no mail delivery**

Ok, let's get to it.  Today we are sharing a LO  that our Delightful Designer, Marcia, created using our October scrapbook kit.

 MARCIA
Love all the fussy cutting and detail!!

There are still some October card and scrapbook kits left.  I have been trying to order more so we didn't run out before the month even started.

We also have a variety of Tim Holtz distress inks and reinkers.

We also sell the Silhouette Cameo.  We offer free shipping to the US.  If you are interested in pre-ordering the new Silhouette Portrait, please send me an email.  leeanne@artfuldelight.com

Don't forget to play along with our sketch challenges for your chance to win one of our November kits.

And lastly, I will be sending out emails today and tomorrow for the DT call.  My goal is to send one to everyone whether you were chosen for the next term or not.  Please keep in mind that if you were not selected, that this is a super difficult decision to make and although I love to see all the interest in being a part of our team I also hate to say goodbye to our current team and hate to have to tell so many talented and super sweet crafters that they weren't chosen this time around.  We have, however,  decided to chose 6 team members, 3 for the scrapbook kit and 3 for the card kit.

I hope you have a wonderful Monday!!

It's a beautiful layout. You are an awesome Mother! I can't imagine how you accomplish all that you do in a day. Everyone needs some time to themselves to recharge.

excited to hear about the dt decisions. I know it's hard to decide. Oh, and I get the kid thing and the me time. It is hard to balance it all and not feel guilt for just needing a moment. I think every mom has been there. You sound like you are a great mom though and you are doing a good job.

Gorgeous layout Marcia!!! Love all of the flowers! You're a great mom Leeanne! Even though it can be hard at times, they all are only little for so much time. The next thing you know they will be all grown up. Best of luck to those of your who applied for the DT.

Leeanne, you are a wonderful mother and it is absolutely normal to need a break from our little monsters. It is ok to recharge the batteries without kids just to be able to love them even more.

This layout is sooo pretty!!! And thank you for providing another sketch. I just linked my version of it.
