Well our fabulously talented Delight Designer, Abby, was unable to play along with our Birthday Blog Hop last weekend but she had some projects made using the kit and I would love to share them with you today. Fortunately I was able to put together a few more September and August scrapbook kits.

The projects I am going to share with you today might convince you to pick up one of those September kits. :-) Well, wait, what am I saying ALL of Artful Delight's Delightful Designers are amazing and have done amazing work to "sell" the kits.

Check out this amazing work from Abby.....

Artful Delight's Birthday Bash Blog Hop DAY 2

Good Morning!! WOW, what an amazing response we had yesterday. My blog blew up all day. It was so exciting. I have some new followers and I hope to see all of you play along with us this weekend.

Ok!

Well today is Day 2 of our Birthday Bash Blog Hop. That means another challenge and more inspiration.

Today's challenge is tic-tac-toe.

All you have to do is chose 3 in a row. You can go up, down, or sideways. So for my project I did use Kraft, use at least one button, and use light pink. And here is my card.....

I made this card with my DT, both old and new, and my faithful readers in mind. :-) I have said this before and I will say it again and again....without my wonderful design team and amazing faithful readers, Artful Delight would not be where it is today. We continue to grow everyday and I am so excited. I greatly enjoy blogging, crafting, and "meeting" new people.

So THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!

The card I made uses a few things from the new kit coming out Oct 1. Also the button that I used is a handmade resin button. Super cool to be able to make my own button but a little bit of a pain. I had a hard time with air bubbles. I tried so many different things but every resin button I made had a small air bubble on it. Oh well. :-)

Now what are you waiting for, get hoppin'!! And if you have some time get crafty!

You may notice another name on our blog hop list, Karen, from The Bald Dragonfly. We will be seeing a little more of her in the future (wink - guest designer!!!!) We actually have a couple guest designers that will share their amazing talent with us in the months to come!!!!

Artful Delight's Birthday Bash Blog Hop DAY 1 & SUPER SAVINGS

*disclosure - this post is going to be super long, LOL. But be sure to read through it, there is a lot of great info*

Welcome to Artful Delight’s first blog hop. There is a lot to celebrate this weekend. Today is my birthday and what better way to celebrate than with games and prizes! We hope you can play along. For the next three days we will have a challenge each day. Play along with the challenges for your chance to win the GRAND PRIZE!!! Each day we will have some awesome inspiration; hop along with us and leave some comments. Random commenters will be chosen for a chance to win prizes. We will be also be announcing the new Delightful Designers today. We will end the weekend on Sunday with the October kit reveal and our final challenge.

The challenges will remain open to play along with until September 30. All winners and prizes will be announced on Artful Delight's blog the evening of September 30th.

So who wants to know what the GRAND PRIZE is? Are you ready for it……..the winner of the grand prize will receive a 6 month subscription to Artful Delight kits!!!! All you have to do it play along with the challenges. You can play along with one or all three for more chances. Just upload your project in the linky tool in the sidebar for your chance to win. Please label it with the challenge you are playing along with and your name.

So who’s ready for some fun? Below is a list of participants so if you get "lost" along the way, come back here so we can get you on the right path. Hop along and meet our new designers and also see some great inspiration.

We have 4 new designers and if you hop along you will be able to "meet" all of them.

I would love to introduce to you one of our new Delightful Designers. She has actually already started as of September 1st and I am sure many of you already know her and follower her blog. Please welcome the super sweet Julie to our team.

My name is Julie Tucker-Wolek, and out in the cyber world, I am known as the SMILEY girl as I leave a lot of SMILES everywhere I visit! :):):):):):) I have been scrapbooking for almost 14 years when my son was born, but really got 'serious' about 5 years ago! :) I don't really think I have a style, I can be clean and simple, to all over the place, I feel that my style is ever changing, and I am okay with that as I am never afraid to try new things! :):):):):):):):) Blog - http://thetuckerwolekclan.blogspot.com/

Now for the challenge - the first challenge this weekend is a sketch challenge.

And here is my take on the sketch!

All the products on this LO are from Artful Delight's September monthly kit with the exception of the background paper. That is Kraft cardstock from Jillibean Soup. This is a picture of my daughters by our Apple Blossom tree in the front yard. It is GORGEOUS in the Spring when it is blossoming. I actually have pictures of the process, they have these beautiful pink flowers on the tree for about a week or two and then they all fall off and it looks like a normal tree. I will miss it when we move. :-)

Oh one last AWESOME thing before you hop on your way. There is a SUPER SAVINGS offered to you for ONE WEEK. This is the perfect time to purchase an Artful Delight subscription. For one week we are offering pre-payments for kits. You can pre-pay for a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription. But wait the best part is you can save 34% off. Weird amount I know but it is in honor of my 34th birthday today. Use the coupon code BDAYBASH during your checkout and save big time. If you thought $27.50/month was an awesome deal for a 6 month subscription, what do you think of $18.15??? The discount is only taken off the subscription price, during checkout you will be charged the full shipping charges on $45 for 6 months. For more details or to pre-pay for your subscription, please click here!!

You can also save 15% off your order - minimum purchase $23.00 ----Enter code BDAYBASH15 at checkout to receive your discount.

4 wreaths

Good Morning!

Today I wanted to share with you some wreaths I made for my DT. They are super easy to make and I LOVE the way they turned out. These wreaths were a thank you gift for all their hard work. Abby will be staying on another 6 months or so but I wanted to give it to everyone on the team at the same time.

Artful Delight's first design team was such a success, they all helped me tremendously and I cannot thank them enough. Debbie will also remain on the team helping me with the kits and brain storm ideas. I wish I could keep all the ladies on for another term. It was wonderful to get to know these ladies and I hope to remain friends with them far past the end of their term. I am also SUPER excited to bring on the new team, get to know them, and to see what they can do with Artful Delight kits.

Be sure to join us for the blog hop when we introduce the new team!!!

So first I would like to share with you the wreaths, then at the end of this post will be your first chance to win prizes for Artful Delight's first blog hop. So be sure to scroll down.

This first one was made for Debbie:
This one for Courtney:
Next I made this for April:
And last but certainly not least, this was for Abby:
The "Welcome" was cut with my Cricut. The wreaths were made from individual circles that I cut and adhered to a wreath base. I must say that I did have the help of my oldest daughter inking each and every circle with distress ink.

How about a contest?? Leave a comment on this post guessing how many individual 4" circles I used for just ONE of the wreaths. The person that comes the closest will win a handmade wreath. :-) I am going to leave this contest open until September 23rd.

Edit: I didn't state the size of the wreath (for the contest, that might help in guessing the number of circles) The wreath form measures 12". :-)

Next here is another chance to win a prize. This is the first challenge for our upcoming blog hop. All I ask you do is spread the word that we will be having a hop next weekend. Please snag that badge in my sidebar and post it on your blog. That's it! Then come back here and link your blog in the linky tool. Just label it with your name. :-) This linky tool will remain active until 11:59pm EST on September 22.

Alright that's it for today. I sure hope to see y'all playing along with our challenges next week. :-)

Autumn Greetings

Hello my friends! Today is my last day of school for the week! Phew, made it through another week; 4 weeks down, 12 to go. LOL!

Well unfortunately Artful Delight's September card kit is sold out but I am here to share with you a fabulous card that Courtney created using the card kit.

The card kits sell out fast so if you are interested in a kit, I would suggest that you pre-order. I post the kit reveal every month on the 25th. If you like it and think you want it, send me an email and reserve a kit for yourself. :-)

Courtney
Do you notice anything about this card? Courtney used Artful Delight's sketch for this month. I LOVE seeing cards created using AD sketches. It just goes to show how versatile the sketch can be. Debbie does a fantastic job creating the sketches each month. :-) Courtney's card is fantabulous!!! :-) For more details, please check out Courtney's blog.

If you haven't had a chance to play along with this month's sketch, try and do that this weekend. The sketch challenge ends on the 23rd just in time to get crafty with all the blog hop challenges. :-) Link up your project in the sidebar by the 23rd for your chance to win Artful Delight's October monthly kit.

I have projects lined up for the next week or so, so be sure to stop back by. I really appreciate each and every one of you. Without your support Artful Delight wouldn't be where it is today. We have an amazing design team (current team and new team), successful monthly kits, and wonderful followers. That is one of the reasons we will be celebrating next weekend for our hop. :-)

Pamper Yourself!!

If you are here for the NO HOUSEWORK DAY BLOG HOP click here! The hop ends tonight at 11:59pm and I will announce the winner of my giveaway in the morning!

**EDIT-The blog hop ends at 10pm EST tonight (April 10th) so if you haven't entered the giveaway click on the above link!!**

Good Morning my friends!! I hope y'all are having a wonderful weekend. I can't wait until tomorrow because we are supposed to have temps in the upper 80's. I am going to assume we are just going to bypass Spring. It is either unseasonably cold or really warm. I guess I will take it and have to get used to it if I am going to move to Arizona. Which I am TOTALLY excited about. :-)

So today I am just going to share with you the card I made for the blog hop. I didn't really go in to detail about the card and I have had a bunch of comments and questions about it.

When I was asked to be a part of the blog hop I guess it was about a month ago, and I was told the theme I immediately thought of this stamp that I have seen around the blogosphere but I could not for the life of me remember where I had seen it. I had a couple of stamp companies in mind that I thought sold it so I started my search.

The lady in the bathtub is a stamp from My Favorite Things. I bought the stamp set and held on to it until I was able to get some time to craft. LOL! Which ended up being the day before the hop started. YIKES.

Anywho, the stamp actually has like a mirror image that is supposed to go where the window is but I thought about the cute cloud pattern paper that is in April's monthly kit and thought it would be much cuter to make a window than use the mirror part of the stamp.

I purchased an SVG file from SVGcuts.com that has a bunch of different window shapes. As much as I would love to purchase Cricut cartridges (I am dying to get the Create a Critter cart) I just can't afford actual cartridges so I buy individual SVG files as I need them or create my own in Inkscape.

So I cut the window shape with the Cricut and adhered it together and applied Glossy Accents to make it have more of a window effect. I stamped the bathtub image and cut the tub and legs out. Then I stamped the rug on the daisy pattern paper also included in the kit and I cut it out. I bought a textured white cardstock from my LSS to use for the "floor". I was going to try and make a faux tile look but I decided to just use textured paper. I used some liquid pearls, that I also picked up at my LSS, for the bubbles.

I then stamped the wine glass and cut it out and adhered it to the card. I was going to be funny and stamp (and cut out) several wine bottles and scatter them on the "floor" but I didn't think it would look right and then I wouldn't have room for the sentiment. I am pretty sure if I had an afternoon alone to take a LONG bath I would need a little more than one small glass of wine to get me in a relaxed mood. LOL!

I also stamped the inside with the "Pamper Yourself" sentiment that comes with the set. The brown cardstock is supposed to be the "baseboard" in the bathroom. I finished the card with some Peapod twine from The Twinery, also included in this month's kit.

I probably could have done some sort of tutorial for this card but I am a bit camera shy. In the fall I have to take a Intro to Public Speaking class which is online so I will be doing a lot of recording of speeches. Maybe I will become a little more comfortable in front of a camera. LOL! I would love to start doing some video tutorials.

Well that's all for now, I guess a couple days away from my blog and I become a little chatty.

I will see y'all in the morning with the winner of the blog hop giveaway and hopefully I will get to craft today and have something to share.

Have a fabulous Sunday!! Oh and there is only one April kit left, so if you were wanting to purchase one you should grab it up before it sells out. :-)

Happy Crafting!!

(Blog Hop) It's Your Day......Pamper Yourself!! (and a giveaway)

Oh I am super excited about what I have in store for you today. Julie from Life with the Tucker and Wolek clan invited me to participate in a blog hop and I happily accepted. This will mark my FIRST blog hop and I am totally excited!!!!

We would like to Welcome you to the National No Housework Day Online Blog Hop!! You may find games, prizes, projects, and how do-you-dos along the path! We would appreciate it if you became a follower (but not necessary) and we would love your comments. :-)

You may have arrived here from Jana @ Scrapbook Abundance and that means you are on the right track. :-)

Hope that you enjoyed that stop and the others so far!!

We celebrate this national holiday by scrapping today and into the weekend with projects that remind us of housework or getting away from it!!! Take the day off, put up your feet and let's hop!

I invited my DT to play along with me so be sure to stop by and give them some comment love too! :-)

Leeanne

If I had a day of no housework or homework I would love to take a bath and relax, and drink some wine or heck at this point I would take a couple shots. LOL! (life has been stressful lately)

This card was super fun to create, the window with the glossy accents and the "bubbles" created using liquid pearls, and you can't see it very well but I smeared some liquid pearls on the tub to make it shimmery.

Debbie

I love all the details in Debbie's LO! Super cute photo! :-)

Courtney

WOW, what a stunning card from Courtney, love the colors! Just beautiful!!

Abby

Abby sure can rock those 2 page LO's. They totally intimidate me. LOL! LOVE all the details.

April

April says that if she had a day to herself she would love to spend it crafting!

Oh and now for the good stuff. THE GIVEAWAY!!!! All of the projects today used items from Artful Delight's April Monthly kit! How would you like a chance to win this month's kit? All ya have to do is become a follower and leave me a comment. The giveaway will end on April 10th at 11:59pm EST! WAHOOOO!!!
