Dream

**edited**

Happy 4th of July!! I was a bit bummed because last night around 5:30pm it started to pour so our 4th of July fireworks celebration in town was canceled. We will still be able to see it on Tuesday (rain makeup) but Tony will be working (inventory so he has to close) and so he will not be able to make it.

I was able to craft a bit yesterday, got a LO and a card made. Today I will share with you the card.

I saw this card (something very similar) on Tim Holtz blog the other day and I thought it was awesome. So awesome I hunted down (wasn't too tough, Michaels had it) stamp he used, bought the distress ink and some patriotic paper.

Well I think the stamp he used was a bit bigger than the one in the stamp set I bought because I originally started with a standard card and had to cut it down to match the image.

I used Fired Brick and Faded Jeans distress inks for the image and sentiment. I used Tea Die distress ink and sponged the edges. I also distressed the edges of the pattern paper and the cardstock with the image on it.

I realized this after the fact, but I am able to submit this card to OTWC Challenge #56. Here is the inspiration:

(Use Red, White, and any color blue)
You still have a couple days to link up so be sure to stop by OTWC for more details!!

Well that's all I have for you today. I am sure most of you are spending the day with your families so I will be back tomorrow with another project and the winner of the giveaway.

Happy Crafting!!

Beautiful card, so patriotic and fun! We saw some lovely fireworks last night at my own aunt's house, better than the town, but alas, a cranky neighborhood man called the cops and they had to shut things down...

I love the card... I was sad too today... I really miss home on the 4th... it just isnt the same no matter what we do...there is no way to have any fireworks when we have the midnight sun...

Very cool patriotic card! Sorry your festivities were cancelled. We lost power for a short while from that storm. The thunder rumbled for minutes it seemed!

Your card is wonderful :)
