Fun, fun, and more fun!!! (giveaway and sponsorship)

Good Morning my friends! I am super excited today because I get to share a couple of LO's and they were created by ME!! :-) Oh yeah I crafted and it felt Grrrrr-eat!!

This week Artful Delight is sponsoring over at Sketch Inspiration and I am super excited!! The prize is a January scrapbook kit. :-) The Delightful Designers and I got to play along with the sketch too and we are all sharing our projects with you today.

If you aren't already a member of Sketch Inspiration sign up and play along with this week's sketch.

It's sort of a mini blog hop. Nothing formal just hop to all the designers blog's and see all the amazing inspiration. And the best part is I have a little giveaway too. It is a box of goodies, pattern papers, embellishments, etc. Most of it is brand spankin' new. There is a small amount of embellishment packages that maybe one or two items were used but that's it. I did a major cleaning yesterday of my craft space and I have a bunch of stuff to giveaway. Today's giveaway is just one of a few you will see over the couple weeks.

Now on to the fun stuff. The first is the LO I created using the sketch from Sketch Inspiration.

Here is the sketch this week:

And my take on the sketch:

A couple weeks ago we took the kids to Monkey Joe's. It is an indoor play area filled with bounce houses. My kids had a blast. This LO features my 4 year old playing and having a good time. This whole LO is created using the January scrapbook kit.

The next LO I would like to share with you I created using the sketch at Sketchy Thursdays. Here is that sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

This LO is also created using the January scrapbook kit. :-)

Alright, well go sign up for Sketch Inspiration and play along this week. Oh and I will be sponsoring again sometime soon....just sayin'! :-)

Also don't forget to leave a comment to be entered in to my little giveaway.

Now go hop over to see what the rest of the team created and then hop over to Sketch Inspiration and play along. :-)

Delight

It is Saturday and I am happy. I only have to work 3.5 hours (well that's the plan as of now, let's see if that changes when I get there) and then I have the rest of the day off. Yesterday I did ABSOLUTELY nothing and it felt great. I finished this LO and then I turned off all the lights and laid on the couch and watched old episodes of Monk. :-) Does anyone else watch that show?

So yesterday I felt not obligated to get anything done around the house, really that meant no homework. I have a take home test to do but it isn't due until next Thursday so I have time. I did dishes and laundry but that's it. So I wanted to play along with a challenge. I saw the challenge at Sketchy Thursdays and I totally wanted to play along. :-)

I was lucky enough to receive a goodie box from Authentique last week filled with some of their new collections. I was so happy when I received the box. I have been waiting to have time to craft with it all.

So all the supplies for this LO with the exception of the frame which is from the October kit is from Authentique. I used paper from the Splendid collection and Free Bird.

Ever since I had a couple Authentique collections in my August kit I have been in love with their products. Their papers are such high quality and their embellishments are so cute!!! LOVE it ALL!!!

Now I would like to point out that tearing/distressing the edges of the paper was really tough for me to do. Not the physical tearing part but the fact that I was tearing the paper. LOL! I am usually a clean and simple straight line crafter. But I really like the way this turned out.

Ok, well I just realized the time and I need to head out. I hope you enjoy and stop by tomorrow for more inspiration from our Delightful Designers using the October kit. :-)

I dedicate this post to Julie :-)

Good Morning!! Happy Tuesday. For once I am happy the weeks are flying by, only 2 more weeks of my spring semester. WAHOOO!! I will have a 2 week break before the summer semester and I am totally excited!!

Today's post is dedicated to Julie from Life with the Tucker and Wolek clan. If you don't already follower her, you should. Not only does she offer amazing inspiration but she is such an amazing person. Her posts put a smile on my face!! When I move to Arizona next year, I might only be an hour or so away from her and I would totally love to meet her!! (hi Julie, I know you are reading this)

Anywho if you have been following Julie and have been for awhile you will see monthly she takes pictures with her kids in honor of one of her dear friends. You can see one of her monthly posts here and find out why she started taking these monthly photos. So when I first found Julie's blog awhile back and saw her monthly post with pictures of her and her kids I cried because it made me think about how I don't have ANY pictures (well maybe a few) with me and my kids and that made me very emotional!!

It took me this long but I finally gave in and took pictures with my kids. Not only do I have pictures to share with you but I also made a LO for Sketchy Thursdays May Guest Design Team Challenge and you guessed it I am in the picture too. :-)

Here is the sketch

I totally flipped the sketch upside-down

And here is my take on the sketch

All of the paper is from April's monthly kit, the Thickers and the black flower are from my stash and the butterfly is from February's monthly kit (sold out). I wasn't going to use the butterfly but I did some stitching right where the butterfly is and it got a little out of control, lol!! So that picture is me, Tony (my boyfriend), and Lil Tony. It was taken last year when we visited my family in Illinois. :-)

Now for the pictures. This first picture is me and my lil man, Max. The very few pictures I can get with him that isn't blurry because he just can't sit still, lol!
This next picture is me and my oldest, Nicki, turning 14 on April 23. My how they grow up so fast!!
Oh this picture is with my super sweet Chell-bell aka Isabel. LOL!
My lil man, Tony was being a crab and wouldn't sit with me for nothing and taking a group picture was just out of the question. LOL! Trying to get us all sitting and paying attention at the same time is going to have to wait until they get a bit older.

And this last one is with my girls. We have 3 girls(me included) and 3 boys (Tony included) in our family of 6, nice and even.

Me, Chell-Bell and Kiki-Bur (that's what her brother and sister call her, lol)

Alright so there ya have it!! I want to thank Julie for giving me that push and making me realize as she says, your kids don't care what you look like, they just know you as mom. And I don't ever want my kids to forget me and have sad feelings because they don't have pictures to remember me by. :-)

Rosettes and Siblings

Oh happy day! My lil man is doing well, doesn't seem to be in pain or discomfort. Plus he hasn't touched his stitches. He will get them removed next Thursday and I am so excited. Tony thinks there are at least 5 stitches in there, maybe more. He also thinks that the way the doc stitched it up that there will be little scar marks. LOL, too funny because the doc was very proud of her ability to stitch a wound, she made a point to tell me she made her own clothes and that she cross stitches. LOL!

Well I am so excited to be able to share some more projects with you that I created. The other day I was feeling the need to make some rosettes. Thanks to the ever so helpful Youtube, one short hour later some rosettes were born. LOL! With those rosettes I made a very simple card.I cut out a top note shape with my Cricut, inked the edges with some Broken China Distress Ink and adhered it to my favorite color card base - Kraft. :-) I then adhered the rosettes and stamped a sentiment from Artfuldelight's Sunny Days stamp set. I may actually send this to my swap buddy, with the mini album I showed the other day.

Up next I made a LO using Sketchy Thursdays sketch. I also got to use some papers and embellishments from the Twig collection from Little Yellow Bicycle. This is a little sneak peak to what's to come in March's monthly kit.

The background paper and scallop paper are both from the Twig collection as well as the butterfly and there is a self adhesive canvas border in there too. I used the wood border flourish (LOVE it) from February's kit there are still 2 kits left and I used some ribbon from November's kit which is unfortunately sold out. The Thickers are a little hard to see in the picture but I can assure you they look good in person, lol. Those are Bones Thickers in Leaf and a few of you might win them in the giveaway I am having. The words at the bottom are from Colorbok. I signed up for something a while back and they sent me a free 12x12 paper pad. It is all beautiful papers in neutral colors and I just love it.

Ok so it's the weekend, hopefully everyone has a little free time to get in their craft room and create something for February's sketch, you have just under 2 weeks to get your entry in. You will have a chance to win March's kit AND a Guest Design spot. Wahhoooo!!

Happy Crafting!!

Over the Years

Good Morning! What a wonderful feeling it was to sit down and craft last night. It has been forever mostly because of school and the kids but also because my craft desk is a mess. LOL! But last night I shoved everything aside and whipped out some crafty supplies and participated in Sketchy Thursdays 1/20/11 sketch.

Those are pictures of my beautiful 13 year old daughter, Nicki! Oh my how she has grown, she will actually be 14 in April. I got a little teary eyed making this LO, just seeing how much she has grown. She will be in high school next year and driving and getting a job in just a few short years. Where has the time gone?

The colorful pattern papers are from Echo Parks Walk in the Park collection. I absolutely LOVE it and can't wait to use it more. It is so bright and colorful and certainly put a smile on my face. The background paper is from Pink Paislee's Parisian Anthology collection, which will be included in February's kit. The hanging tag with "2010" on it will also be in the kit. The twine was from November's kit. The Thickers are Bones in Leaf from October's kit. September and October kits are still available.

I also wanted to send out a big apology to all my bloggy friends for not being able to visit your blogs more often over the last month or so. See my laptop crashed just before the end of last semester. I used to be able to sit downstairs with the kids and play on the computer while they played or whatever. Since it crashed, my computer time is so limited since my desktop is in my bedroom with all my craft stuff and I don't like being in there when the kids are awake. 2 reasons, one they like to touch all my crafty supplies and two, I would be upstairs and they would always go downstairs and get in to the food in the kitchen or something they shouldn't be. LOL! I do plan on getting another laptop within the next week or so and should be blog hopping up a storm. :-)

Oohh, don't forget to enter your project by 11:59pm EST tonight for your chance to win February's kit and GDT spot.

Happy Crafting!!

A boys best friend

Phew! (wiping sweat from my brow), I just got this LO in before the deadline. With 33 min to spare. This LO was created to play along with Sketchy Thursday's 10/28/10 sketch.

I say this sketch and for some reason I just know I wanted to play. I would have had this LO done this morning but Walmart made a BIG boo-boo getting my pics printed. I think the photo tech chic woke up late and then she claims she never got my first online order. Oh it was a mess. So I picked the pics up on my way home from school. I came home, made dinner, fed and bathed all 3 kids, put two of the three lil ones to bed and I then crafted while my Lil man watched Toy Story 2 for the 157th time. We rented Toy Story 3 from Redbox last night and I think in less than 24 hours, we watched that movie a dozen times. Is that even possible? LOL!

Anywho, here is the sketch and my LO! Hope you enjoy. And make sure you stop by tomorrow or shall I say Friday, well and Saturday, because I will have some more projects that the lovely DT made using November's Monthly Kit!

Now after typing this and dealing with my son I am down to 16 minutes.

Happy Crafting!!
