DAY 7 and WINNER

Happy Sunday.

Today I am thankful for a lot.  I am thankful for our veterans who fight for me to be free.  I have many friends whose husbands are in the military, Tony's dad was a Marine and my uncle was also in the military.

I am thankful that I have the means to be able to make this post today to give thanks for all that I have.  I have a roof over my head and food on my table.  My children laugh and play every day.  I am thankful that they have the freedom to do so.

I am thankful for the mistakes that I have made in my life to bring to me where I am today.

I am thankful for my job and my cars that I have that allow me to get to my job.
Speaking of my job, so my love of crafting got me a day of paid time off on Monday.  LOL!  So we have a mandatory meeting in December, it's like a Christmas party but we HAVE to attend and we get paid for it.  Well the theme is ugly sweater.  I work for a bank and there are 8 branches within our market so we wanted to do something with the ugly sweater thing as a team.  We couldn't find inexpensive sweaters so we decided to all wear turtle necks.  I can't remember the last time I wore one of those.  LOL!  So my task is to decorate the turtle necks to "make them ugly."  So I get off on Monday, paid day off, to stay home and decorate the shirts.  In addition we have to put on a skit, we have to chose a scene from a Christmas movie (one where all 11 of us at our branch can be in it) and change the words of that scene to be bank related.  Somehow I was put in charge of that.  Now this is going to cause me to think outside the box because I am a paper crafter not a movie writer.  LOL!!  So if any of you have any suggestions it would be greatly  appreciated.
I will show you the shirts when I am done.  I have to "alter" 11 turtle necks to make them ugly.  Wish me luck, lol.

Anywho,

For all that I am thankful for I made extra sure that I gave back this Thanksgiving holiday.  I donated money to charities to feed families for the holiday.  I am trying to give back as much as I can because so many people helped me out over the years, especially when I was a single mom for about 6 years.

I am thankful that I have off on Sundays so I can watch football. (lol)

I am thankful to have the next two days off so hopefully I can fee better.  I came home from work last night and took some medicine and went to bed, I got a pretty awesome nights sleep.

And as always I am thankful for all of you.  I am thankful that each month I get to announce a winner of my sketch challenge.  :-)

So the winner of this month's sketch challenge is:

Libeeti from Creations with Love

Please email me with your December kit selection and your mailing address.  :-)

leeanne@artfuldelight.com

Alright well I am off to the store to get my Christmas tree.  The kids are excited to decorate it.  :-) And then it is football time.  :-)

Happy Thanksgiving and DAY 4 of Thanks! (giveaway)

Happy Thanksgiving my friends!!

I don't have a project to share with you today but I did want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my bloggy friends that celebrate this holiday.

Today I am thankful for my family.  Tony and I have been together almost 7 years (anniversary is Dec 17) and together we created 3 beautiful, loving, wonderful children.  I am thankful that he has accepted and loved my daughter like his own and has been an amazing role model for her.

I am also thankful that he is an AMAZING cook and he will be making me my family the most juicy and delicious turkey.  Oh yum!!!

I am also thankful that he is supportive of me and my obsession with crafting and Artful Delight.  He truly is a wonderful man and I couldn't imagine life without him.

My kids are my everything.  They warm my heart every minute of every day.  They brighten my day when I am tired and upset from work.  They give me kisses, love and hugs when I most need it.

I am thankful we were able to make our move to Arizona.  I have met some wonderful people here.  Reunited with a friend from high school (who was kind enough to make sure we had something to do for our turkey day) , our wonderful community of people, great people that I work with and the handful of customers that I truly enjoy chatting with everyday.  I got to meet a bunch of amazing crafty people that I feel extremely honored to now call my friend (and I will see you ladies on Saturday)  :-)

We have an amazing place to live and couldn't ask for better weather (that's right it will be 81 degrees today)

I just feel so lucky right now.  I may not have all the money I would like but I have the love and support from everyone around me.

Phew, that was a lot to be thankful for!!!

What are you thankful for?

Have a wonderful day my friends!!

Cherish the moments and a giveaway

Good Morning my friends!! Things are going great here in the desert. We love it!!! Oooh, did you see that we hit 500 followers? Oh yeah!! So it looks like we should have a giveaway to celebrate. What do you think? Well I am making my way through my craft boxes but I think we will have a random box of goodies to giveaway.

So just leave me a comment to be entered.  The giveaway will end in one week - August 22 at 11:59pm.

So today I have a super cute (love the colors) card, wine tag, and glass tag to share that our Delightful Designer, Erin, created using our August card kit.

Isn't this little set delightful?  I love it and the colors.  :-)

Alright well that's it.  Have a wonderful day all!!!   Don't forget to leave a comment to be entered for the giveaway.

Life Is Good

Happy Wednesday my friends!!! So excited the week is half over. My public speaking class officially started yesterday and I have never felt more out of place as I do in this class. I am probably the oldest person in the class. It is an online class and we are all asked to "chat" in an online forum to get to know each other. All the young 20-somethings don't want to chat with an old lady with 4 kids. LOL!!  Oh well, maybe that will make it easier to do the class.  All I know is I just want the next 7 weeks to fly by, I wish I could just blink and it all be over.

I am super excited today to share with you our Delightful Designer, Erin's first projects with our team.  Erin used our June card kit (which is now sold out) and she also used this month's card sketch to create the card.  :-)

ERIN

Erin has created some awesome projects for her debut.  :-)  She is also having a giveaway on her blog.  YIPPEE!!!  You know how much I love giveaways.  So head on over and leave her a comment.

Alright well that's it for today.  I hope you enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!!  :-)

May 12, 2012

Let's start it off right......

The weekend that is. LOL!! Let's have a giveaway. First I have a question. I really do have a ton of stuff to giveaway. When it gets closer to the time I move I am going to need to get rid of all of it. And I am sure I will still have a ton of stuff even with all the giveaways I have been doing. Would any of you that enter my giveaways be willing to pay $5-$10 (towards shipping) for a big box of papers and embellishments? I have stacks and stacks of paper, and I just won't have anything to do with it. I mean I could keep it but do I really need 15 sheets of the same paper.....not really, especially since I don't get to craft much. So I may have like 5-10 boxes of stuff I could giveaway. And we all know paper is heavy and can be pricey to ship. I have a bunch of embellishments too.  So if you want to let me know in a comment (not required) if you think that would be OK to ask for a small "donation" towards shipping.  :-)

Next, I wanted to share a few pictures.  This week my daughter got her braces off.  She had them on a little over 2 years.  I think she got them Feb/March of 2010.  She was so excited.  I was excited for her.  I think I even got a little teary eyed.  LOL!!  I told Tony that we are going to need to buy tissue in bulk in a few month because for the next 5-7 years I am going to shed a lot of tears.  LOL!! I mean so many changes are going to happen.  My oldest will start driving, working, and being a little more independent.  My oldest boy will start kindergarten.  Next fall my youngest daughter will start kindergarten.  The following year my daughter will be a senior and graduating.  And the year after that my baby will be starting kindergarten.  Oh boy, I am getting teary eyed just thinking about it.  I think I cried every year for about 4-5 years with Nicki at the start of the school year.  Just seeing my baby walk in to school all independent it just made me so sad.  LOL!!

Alright on to the pictures.

Next is a picture of my Mother's Day gift.  I found it on Etsy and jokingly sent a picture to Tony telling him he could get it for me.  Little did I know he did.  LOL!!  (I also got a fabulous pedicure for Mother's Day)

Gifts like this mean more to me than some expensive diamond or something.  Anything handmade by my kids or anything to do with my kids means a lot.  I told Tony the other day if he is going to buy me a wedding ring (Lol, nope not married yet) I don't want a traditional diamond.  I want something that has my kids birthstones or something.  There will be a diamond though because Nicki's birthday is in April.  :-)

I also did a little manicure.....

Please excuse around the cuticles, I just did it when I took this picture and I hadn't gotten all the polish off. I am not sure if any of you follow Kristina Werner's blog but she got me hooked on Konad nail stamping oh maybe a year or so ago (maybe less than that).  But not only does she have her craft blog but she started a nail blog.  Oh my.  I went and spent $20 on polish last night so I can try a new technique she shared on her blog. Have any of you tried Konad stamping?

Now on to the giveaway part.  I have another random box of goodies to giveaway.  :-)  Just leave me a comment and you will be entered to win.  :-)

I will leave this open until May 15 at 11:59pm EST.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Paper Smooches giveaway

Are you tired of my giveaways yet? I hope not because when I was doing a little more packing yesterday I came across MORE stuff to giveaway. BUT today I have 2 Paper Smooches stamp sets to give away - so I will have 2 winners. I placed a big order the other day so they were super kind and sent me some extra sets so I thought I would do a giveaway with them. I have a ton of new sets that I have yet to play with. As soon as I get my craft stuff organized and pack whatever I KNOW I won't use any time soon I will sit down and craft a bit. :-)

I am not sure if you have stopped by our store lately but we carry a variety of Paper Smooches stamps and some adhesive.  I will have Mister Huey's mists in stock within the next few days as well.

So anywho, I would like to offer a giveaway with 2  winners. Here are the two  stamp sets up for grabs:

Sugar Rush

Geo-Graphic

Just leave me a comment for your chance to win.   This giveaway will end on Saturday, May 5 at midnight EST.  :-)

Sunshine You Make Me Happy

Hap-Hap Happy Monday!! I officially have 2 weeks left of Spring semester and I couldn't be happier. It is supposed to be like 87 degrees today, I am thinking I might have to kick on the air for a bit today. LOL!! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty tiring. I had to work yesterday morning at 4am. I had the hardest time falling asleep Saturday night so I am thinking I may have only gotten like 4 hours of sleep. I worked for 5 hours, climbing ladders and cleaning displays and running from the front of the store to the back of the store and up a ladder down and ladder this side of the store to that side of the store......needless to say not only do I feel really tired from lack of sleep but my body aches a bit. LOL!! After my 5 hours of work I came home to hang with my kids and then had to be BACK at work to work 2-6. Let's just say I am glad my weekend is over.

Ya know what I am also excited about? Next month's kit....It is going to be awesome.

And ya know what else I am excited about? Being able to share with you today's super awesome LO that our Delightful Designer, Julie, created using our April scrapbook kit.

JULIE
Beautiful little Brookie, she is such a doll. Julie's LO is fabulous, love that "Sunshine" chipboard and all the detail.

Thanks so much for stopping by, don't forget to play along with this month's sketch challenge and also to enter my giveaway that ends tonight. Link up your project for the sketch challenge in the sidebar by April 23rd for your chance to win our May monthly kit. :-)

Happy Saturday (giveaway)

Good Morning!! I am super happy this morning. I may some solid job leads when I move. I should most definitely be able to transfer to a Michaels near where I will live. I also got in touch with an Accountant temp agency and the hiring manager wants to interview me and help me get a job. Now to just get Tony a job and we will be in REALLY good shape. :-)

But since I am in full pack mode now, I need to organize, consolidate, and reduce my craft stuff. I have a ton of "extra" stuff from past kits. I also found a box or two filled with partially used 6x6 pads, collection packs and other goodies.

So let's get rid of some of this stuff. I have another random box of goodies to get rid of.

Ya know I was completing my daughter's registration paper work for school and it asked me to list ALL her previous schools she attended. WOW what a task. I never realized how many times we have moved over the years until I had to write it down. She is in 9th grade and just going back to about 4th or 5th grade I think I had 6 schools listed for her and I know there is at least 3-4 more schools going back to kindergarten. I am so ready to settle down. LOL!!

So with that said, leave me a comment and let me know how many times you have moved over the years - go back say 15 years and see if you can count how many times you moved. LOL!! It is not required to answer this question to be entered for the giveaway, just trying to make this fun. You can just leave me a comment and say "hi" too. :-)

Well I am off to get ready for work, then a little shopping at Costco, home to play with my kids and a yummy homemade pizza dinner and some family time. :-) I am expecting it to be a good day. :-)

If you get a chance, play along with this month's sketch challenge. Upload your project in the sidebar for your chance to win our May scrapbook kit. You have until April 23rd to enter. :-)

Oh and the giveaway will end Monday night at midnight EST.

March 27, 2012

I sure do love giveaways.....

Good Morning!! I am in the mood for a giveaway. How about you?? I have another random box of goodies to giveaway. It will be filled with a lot of awesome-ness. :-) Most of the stuff I giveaway is extras from past kits. Plus I am going through my stash and getting rid of stuff I never used or barely used. I am moving over the summer and I guess I need to get rid of some stuff. I packed some stuff that I don't use much since I just don't have that much time to craft and I already have about 6-7 boxes packed and that is just the stuff I DON'T use every time I craft.

Let's see, leave me a comment and tell me if you were to pack your craft space, how many boxes do you think you will have. LOL!! Is 6-7 boxes filled with stuff I don't use regularly a little much?

We have to keep our moving stuff to a minimum because we are hiring a company to move our stuff. And to be able to afford it we have to get rid of......well 95% of our household belongings. Now this isn't that bad because most of our stuff is mish-mashed from Tony's house and my house prior to us getting together. So I think of this as a fresh start and I am super excited. BUT that means that I can only have approx. 30 boxes. That isn't very much when so far about 1/3 of that is my craft stuff. hahahahaha!!

Anywho, leave me a comment to enter the giveaway. I will close this giveaway on Thursday at noon.

I will be back tomorrow with another project from our Delightful Designer using our March card kit. :-)

Your Eyes

Good Morning and Happy Monday!! I am so happy the weekend is over. I know, I know most of you dread Mondays but I work only on weekends so technically I get like 4-5 day weekend. LOL!! Although I have classes and such I would rather be doing that that what I do on the weekends. Oh well enough about that......

Let's share with you a fabulous LO that our Delightful Designer, Julie, created using out March scrapbook kit. :-) Our card kits are sold out but there are still some scrapbook kits left. :-)

JULIE

Love, love the colors Julie chose for this LO! Isn't it fabulous. Our March kit is totally packed with amazing stuff. Lots of embellishments!!

For more details about this LO, please visit Julie's blog. :-)

Scooting by to say hi and Just roll with it!

Good Morning and Happy Sunday. Boy, oh, boy was it windy and cold here last night. We had a wind advisory for all of Saturday and it carried in to this morning. I am so done with the cold. I didn't get to craft last night but I did finish all of one test and half of another so all I have is one full test and the rest of the other half. Not too bad. I have until Wednesday to finish them.

I would like to take a moment and send a HUGE Happy Birthday out to our February birthdays. For my current giveaway I asked that you leave a comment telling me your plans for the weekend and it seems like a large number of comments left said you were either celebrating your own birthday or a family member's birthday. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! :-)

Ok, so next I would like to share with you two AB(BY)-SOLUTELY F-AB(BY)-ULOUS cards that our Delightful Designer, AB(BY) created. I would like to mention that this is Abby's last month as a Delightful Designer. Abby has been sharing her AMAZING creations with us each month for the last year. I thought her work was amazing a year ago and I must say they have ALL just gotten even more amazing. She will be greatly missed.

But enough of that sadness, we still have Abby on our team for the rest of the month. So let's get to it!! :-)

ABBY

WOW! WOW!!! Just WOW!! I love this stamp set to begin with and Abby just made me love it even more. Love the colors and the paper piecing. So between June's absolutely fabulous paper pieced scooter and these two paper pieced scooters, I will most certainly be sharing with you my version of a paper pieced scooter. LOL!!

For more details about these cards, please visit Abby's blog. Also, today is the last day to enter our current giveaway. Click here. I will announce a winner either tomorrow or Tuesday. :-)

February 10, 2012

TGIF, let's have a giveaway!!!

I LOVE giveaways....can you tell? I am happy it is Friday. I totally had plans of crafting when I got home from school last night but time got away from me and it was just too late. I wanted to craft today but I have to work on my take home tests. I have three and they are due on Tuesday and Wednesday and I have to work all weekend so I need to be productive. PLUS I need to get my kids out of the house. They have been cooped up too long.....so off to Monkey Joe's we go. Spend a couple hours there, have lunch and come home. Wear them out, and probably me while we are at it. So no crafty project! :-(

BUT, instead let's have a giveaway. I have plenty of stuff to giveaway. It is another random box of goodies. Most of it is extras from past kits. Some may be gently or partly used personal supplies. 6x6 pads with a few sheets removed/used, partial used packages of embellishments, etc.....But most of it is new.

Please just leave me a comment letting me know what you have planned for your weekend. I will chose a winner on Sunday evening (Feb 12th).

PARTY!

Good morning fellow crafters!! It is half way through my first week of this semester and I think I am going to make it through with no problems. My classes are all just the second half of what I took last semester. So, same professors and mainly the same students in the class. I have high hopes for this semester and finishing my Associates degree with a good GPA!! :-)

I am so excited about the response to this month's sketch challenge. I am not sure if it is because all the holidays are over and more of you are able to craft or if sponsoring Sketch Inspiration this week has brought us some new participants but I am super excited. Be sure to play along for your chance to win February's scrapbook kit. :-)

Today I have an awesome card to share with you that our Delightful Designer, June created using the January card kit.

I just LOVE the pops of color in this card. For more details about this card please visit June's blog.

There is still a few more days to enter my giveaway, please click here to enter!!

You have my heart

*I was having trouble with blogger this morning, sorry for posting this a bit later than normal*

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Back to school for me. I am both excited and sad. I am excited to get the "party started" (lol) but I am sad because I have to get back to school and homework and maybe not any craft time. :-( But as soon as this semester is over it is all uphill from there. I will only have 2 classes to take and I should be able to find a job.....a REAL job.

Anywho, did you see yesterday's post? With the giveaway? The one where I talked about sponsoring Sketch Inspiration? The one that I shared not one but TWO LO's that I was able to create? Well if not, click here.

Today I have a LO to share with you that our Delightful Designer, Julie created using the sketch for Sketch Inspiration this week. Julie used our January scrapbook kit. :-)

JULIE
I love the heart she made using the jute that is included in this month's kit. :-) And here is the sketch:
If you aren't already a member of Sketch Inspiration you should join so you can play along with their sketches each week. Especially this week of course. :-) And I will be sponsoring again......just sayin'!

Ok, so you have until Saturday, January 14th to enter the giveaway! :-) Just leave me a comment on THIS post for your chance to win.

Be sure to stop by Julie's blog for details about this LO and a ton of inspiration. :-)

Fun, fun, and more fun!!! (giveaway and sponsorship)

Good Morning my friends! I am super excited today because I get to share a couple of LO's and they were created by ME!! :-) Oh yeah I crafted and it felt Grrrrr-eat!!

This week Artful Delight is sponsoring over at Sketch Inspiration and I am super excited!! The prize is a January scrapbook kit. :-) The Delightful Designers and I got to play along with the sketch too and we are all sharing our projects with you today.

If you aren't already a member of Sketch Inspiration sign up and play along with this week's sketch.

It's sort of a mini blog hop. Nothing formal just hop to all the designers blog's and see all the amazing inspiration. And the best part is I have a little giveaway too. It is a box of goodies, pattern papers, embellishments, etc. Most of it is brand spankin' new. There is a small amount of embellishment packages that maybe one or two items were used but that's it. I did a major cleaning yesterday of my craft space and I have a bunch of stuff to giveaway. Today's giveaway is just one of a few you will see over the couple weeks.

Now on to the fun stuff. The first is the LO I created using the sketch from Sketch Inspiration.

Here is the sketch this week:

And my take on the sketch:

A couple weeks ago we took the kids to Monkey Joe's. It is an indoor play area filled with bounce houses. My kids had a blast. This LO features my 4 year old playing and having a good time. This whole LO is created using the January scrapbook kit.

The next LO I would like to share with you I created using the sketch at Sketchy Thursdays. Here is that sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

This LO is also created using the January scrapbook kit. :-)

Alright, well go sign up for Sketch Inspiration and play along this week. Oh and I will be sponsoring again sometime soon....just sayin'! :-)

Also don't forget to leave a comment to be entered in to my little giveaway.

Now go hop over to see what the rest of the team created and then hop over to Sketch Inspiration and play along. :-)
