Twisted Cards #005

I would first like to say that I don't follow directions very well. It would seem as though I didn't read the rules for this challenge at at, LOL! It clearly said ribbon and my card CLEARLY in the end had NO ribbon. So as I was going to upload my card I realized oh poop, no ribbon. So instead of re-doing the whole card or not submitting it in the challenge, I threw some ribbon on there. It ended up looking ok. I am sure it will grow on me. Lesson learned, read challenge before spending an hour and a half making a card. LOL!

So here is the sketch:

And my card with ribbon included:

Wow that photo is really crappy. I may have to take a new one and replace this one. It is gloomy and dark outside and the light on my craft table is just not helping. Well this is what we call a "mut" card. LOL! It has a variety of products from American Crafts, Basic Grey and Stampin' UP!. Ok so where do I begin. The pattern paper is from American Crafts called Twitterpated. The card base is Kraft with a layer of So Saffron both from SU. I used a Birthday Block stamp sentiment from Stampin' UP! Summer Mini Catalog. Which I used my Stampin' UP! Markers to color in with different colors. The candles are from the July Fourth stamp set also from the Summer Mini. I cut out "flames" and used heat and stick powder to stick glitter to them. The glazed brads are from Basic Grey's Green at Heart collection. Last minute after reading the challenge and seeing I had to use ribbon, silly me, I added some Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon from SU.

Overall I think the card is really cheerful and bright. I think it was from having girly withdraws from the last card I made. Making a masculine card using Practicing Creativity Designs super cool May release You're the Man (available May 6) I needed to make a floofy card. I hope ya'll don't think the ribbon is placed in a ridiculously out of place spot and thanks again Twisted Sketches for a super fab sketch challenge to play along with.
