Happy Wednesday

Good Morning my friends!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. We are expected to get 1-3 inches of snow. Doesn't sound like a lot but they expect it to make road conditions a little rough. One of my Professors is already planning that classes may get canceled. I wouldn't mind that because I have a lot to get done. I have tests and house work to get through.

Well today I have a fabulous card to share with you that our Delightful Designer, June, created using our February card kit and February sketch.

JUNE

I love how she used part of one of the pattern papers as her focal point. Fabulous job!! For more details please visit June's blog.

There are still some February scrapbook kits left and we are sold out of the card kits but if you are interested in a kit, please email me and I will put some more together! Please don't feel bad asking, I just hate to put more together and have them sit around.

Also we are sponsoring at Frosted Designs this week, head over there and play along with their challenge to have your chance to win a February kit.

And be sure to play along with this month's sketch challenge for your chance to win our March monthly kit. Link you project up in the sidebar by Feb 23rd.

WINNER!!!!

Good evening!! I totally forgot to chose the winner of the giveaway I was having. Today was such a crazy day. It started at 6:15am. I woke, got all the kids up, fed, and dressed. Tony has been having an ear infection for over a week and since he has no insurance he has been putting it off. Well he couldn't take it anymore so we took him to the urgent care. Dropped him off, dropped Nicki off at school, and headed back to the urgent care to keep him company. He was in and out in an hour and whatever they did almost instantly relieved his pain.......$300 later. YIKES!! I had to leave him with the kids because I had to be in Leesburg, VA (an hour or so from where I lived) at 10am for my first ever job interview (for an accounting position). Well everything was going great and about 10 miles away I heard on the radio there was a tractor trailer with a blown tire which caused traffic to do go to one lane. I had no idea where that was at in comparison to where I needed to be (I don't go out to Leesburg very much, well never) so I crossed my fingers it was well after my exit. OOOOOOhhhhhh no, 8 miles from my exit it was stopped traffic. I had 15 minutes to get to my interview. I call Tony, almost in tears because I was going to be late. I then called the HR lady and told her I would be late and she totally understood, she said several of their employees hadn't showed up yet. I ended up arriving 30 min late. Everyone was super friendly. I thought the interview was going really well, but who knows. I then had to rush back home so Tony could leave for work.

I am not too optimistic this job will work out. It is part time during the day which is great but to drive an hour each way, pay for daycare, and the gas may end up not being financially right for our situation. So although it was an awesome experience, I will not be heartbroken if I don't get the job.

WOW, so anywho, let's announce a winner already......

The winner of the random box of goodies is comment #8

So happy together

*this is my second post today, click here to see my post from this morning!*

Good evening all! I have had an awesome, relaxed day. Did some grocery shopping, dishes, laundry, completed part of one of my tests, knitted, made some pizza dough(for our pizza and buffalo chicken dinner) and now I am waiting for Tony to come home. The only way the day could be better is if I had some football to watch (we don't have cable, normally don't watch it so no sense paying for something we don't use....I do sometimes miss cable during football season)

Tonight I have a LO to share with you that our Delightful Designer, Abby, created using our February monthly kit.

ABBY
Now Abby gets sent our card kit but the last couple months she has been able to show us that even the card kits can be used to make LO's. Fabulous!!! For more details about this LO please visit Abby's blog.

I will be back in the morning!!

Thank you

Good Morning my friends!! So we got a little bit of snow last night, wet slick snow. I HATE it!! We had some really awesome weather last week and I totally thought it was going to start warming up. Oh well, this will be last winter to see snow so I will be ok. LOL!!

Today I have the whole day off.....what to do first? Well right now I am enjoying a yummy cup o' joe while I type up this post (and of course listen to my children fight). Hmmm, maybe clean a little, scrap a little, laundry/dishes, craft a little, grocery shopping, scrap a little, make some dinner......oh poop I forgot I have two take home tests to finish by Thursday. Scratch those plans.......a little homework, craft a little, cleaning, homework, craft a little........scratch that, I am crafting ALL DAY!!! LOL, I wish.....I will probably do a little mix of everything. haha!! Darn responsibilities always get in the way of my fun!!

Anywho, I have a fantabulous card to share with you today. I was super excited about making this card. I saw a tutorial on Jennifer McGuire's blog on using Pink Paislee's Mist-a-bles. Oh, that's right there is some of that in our February kit, YAAAHOOOOO!!!

So I got to work. I used the smallest scallop trim and I used my Papertrey Ink ink pad to color it. Now Jennifer used Mister Huey's mists and that would have been easy too but I didn't have any color mist that I wanted to use and I wanted the color to match the cardstock included in the kit. Oh my it matched perfectly. :-) The only thing on the card not from the February kit is the rhinestones but those are from the January kit.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the "thank you" sentiment and the card base. The flower was colored with Raspberry Fizz and Ripe Avacado ink from PTI.

Alright well I will pick a winner of my giveaway later tonight and post that tomorrow with another amazing project using our February scrapbook kit.

Spotlight Saturday

Good morning and Happy Saturday!! Today will be a long day for me. I have to work and even though most of you work 8 hour shifts, it is not normal for me to at Micheals and today I have to. I think the longest part will come in that the first 2-3 hours of my day will be spent hosting a birthday party. Those are always so exhausting. But then I get to sit for 2 hours and demo a card, I get to craft for 2 hours. :-) Oh well. I have actually been thinking about trying to get a full time regular job after I finish this semester. I need the experience before I move and try to find a good paying job. Tony will be able to quit his job in June (his company paid for us to move to Virginia from Florida so in turn he had to sign a 3 year contract, his contract is up in June, wahhooooo). So when he quits, hopefully he will find a closer job and maybe work nights so I can work days. It will be REALLY hard for me to leave my kids all day every day.....I know many of you are saying "I do it every week" but I have been home with my kids for almost 5 years. But I think I will embrace the new experience with open arms.....a REAL job.....

Ok well enough about all that mumbo jumbo, today I would like to share with you our February Guest Designer. You may recognize the name from when I announced the January sketch challenge winner.

Marcia from One Scrap at a Time won our January sketch challenge and I just loved her work so I asked if she would be our February Guest Designer.

The LO we are sharing today is absolutely AMAZING. Marcia rocked the February scrapbook kit.

G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S!!! I love all the detail!! For more details and to welcome our February Guest Designer, please visit Marcia's blog. She will be back next Saturday to share more awesome-ness. :-)

That's it for today. I really wanted to craft today but not sure I will get to it. I bought some new Memory Box Dies and I am dying to play with them. :-) I do actually have one for sale if anyone is interested. I used it once, it is a beautiful die but I was looking for border die and this doesn't punch out the shape it punches out the design, does that make sense. Below are some pictures. I am asking $6.50 plus $1.75 shipping (US only).

WOW, that was a long post, I hope you all stayed until the end. I really appreciate all of you and appreciate that you stop by!

Enjoy your day!!

We Grow Together

TGIF my friends!! Does anyone have any plans this weekend. Well my only plans are to work today and tomorrow and I have off on Sunday but I will spend it doing homework. Ya me!! I hope to get some crafty time in. I have bought some new stuff this week and would love to create with it.

Today I have an AWESOME LO to share with you that our Delightful Designer, Kelly created using the February scrapbook kit.

KELLY

I love how she used a darker background paper with all the colored embellishments. It really makes them stand out. For more details about this LO, please visit Kelly's blog.

I hope everyone enjoys their day! See you back here tomorrow for another Spotlight Saturday and a new Guest Designer. You will be in awe over the LO that was created. :-)
