Good things to come

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Today is my first day of school. Yikes.....school really. Ok wait I take it back I don't wanna go!!! J/K I am totally excited to get the party started. Look out Lord Fairfax Community College, make way for Leeanne!

Ok well because of the added full time school schedule to my already crazy busy days, I had to make some changes. I feel certain I won't be able to blog and craft as much, well mostly craft and with trying to get my online store running (again) that is probably not the best thing. In addition, I LOVE crafting and meeting new people.

SOOOOO, a couple things....... First I am going to start a monthly scrapbooking kit. I have met a lot of scrappers and I thought it would be fun to have a monthly kit. I will have 1, 3 and 6 month subscriptions. I think they will be at a great price and packed with tons of wonderful supplies. On or around September 1, September's kit will be released. The exact date is still a bit unknown because the kit will include new products that are releasing this week.

Ok second, I have found a FABULOUS illustrator/artist through Etsy and we have been working together to create a super cute stamp set. On Wednesday I will start showcasing the cards I made using the set. Then on September 1 I will be taking pre-orders for the stamp set that will be selling for $9.99+ shipping. Depending on what type of response I get will determine when they will be shipped. You won't have to pay until I ship them to you.

Third, I am having a design team call. You can be a scrapper or card maker. Basically whether LO's or cards are your forte you will receive the same monthly kit to work your magic. However, if you are a card maker and a scrapper and I have a new release on a stamp set, you will receive the stamp set as well and be asked to make a couple cards and a couple LO's.
Now for the first month (September), my friend that I met on the world wide web and I will be handling the projects. This will give me time to get some entries for the DT, make a selection and get everyone started. The DT call will go through the month of September. Then I will make a decision no later than that first week of October so I can have the monthly kit in the mail to the DT by the 15th of October. The DT term will start November 1 and run for 3 months. This is just a trial. After the 3 months when I run it again I may go for a longer term. Not sure yet. Or I may extend the current DT for 3 more months. Well that is I will give the option to each member if they want to extend for 3 months longer. I am looking for 3-6 DT members.

School will really be the deciding factor on how many people I chose, will depend on how much time school really takes from me. If I am able to create even a little then I won't need to chose as many.
What I will request from each member is to make one project a week. If you are a card maker I would like one card and if you are a scrapper I would like one LO. I would ask that you would have a blog or online gallery and would need you to link my blog and online store. If you have a blog I will have a button I would like for you to display on your sidebar.

So basically each DT member will receive the upcoming month's kit and possibly a stamp set, hopefully by the 15th of the previous month. For example, October 15th you will receive November's kit.
To enter the DT call I would ask that you submit 3 projects, either cards or LO's or both and email them to me. In the subject line put "Design Team" and in the email be sure to tell me if you would be a scrapper, card maker or both. Please tell me a little bit about yourself. That's it. :-) I hope I covered everything. My mind is a little jumbled with school thoughts. LOL! If you have any questions please send me an email. I know a lot of people can only create with products they like and companies they are familiar with so if you would like info about the products that I will be using in my kits just send an email. I want my DT to feel comfortable with the goodies they receive. I have heard friends say they were on a DT and didn't really like it because they didn't like the kits. My DT may also receive other items that I will be selling in my store to use so I can showcase their work on my blog.

We will be a team so I will encourage feedback as well as kit suggestions. If there is a specific product or company or paper, ETC that you would like to see in a kit, let me know and I will try and get it in a kit or whatever. My DT is there to promote Artfuldelight and the items I sell. If there is something you would like to try out, we can probably work that out, I get it to you for free in exchange for projects using that product and I will then stock it in my store. Does that make sense?

Ok, so I have just written a novel, sorry about that but I am just really excited about this. If y'all have been around for the last month or so you know I am a giver. I am excited to be able to share awesome products every month with a small group of ladies in exchange for fabulous projects to showcase on my blog, it seems to me like a win-win situation. :-)

I will now leave you with a super easy card I made yesterday afternoon. I used an image from Digital Delights called Lenny the Lion. I colored him with my Prismacolor Pencils and a blender pen. The sentiment I just typed on my computer and printed out. Oh and of course more crinkle ribbon, love it!!

Play ball.....

Yup that's right it's Friday! Time is really flying. I went to the grocery store yesterday and that had pumpkins for sale already. They were so pretty and shiny and looked really nice. I was going to buy some since they looked good but realized we had another month and a half before Halloween. I just can't wrap my brain around the fact that in 3 months it will be Christmas again. YIKES!

Well anyways, I have another great LO to share with you from the wonderful Jamie. She has been working so hard this week getting all these LO's done. I can't wait to have my DT chosen and in order so she can have a bit of relief. Jamie has made 3 super cute LO's using the September Monthly kit for sale now at Artfuldelight.com. Even if you pay the one month, single purchase price you are still getting all the items for almost 50% the cost if you were to buy everything individually. So be sure to check it out.

I really love the colors of the pattern paper in this collection. And the Thickers, LOVE the font. Way to go Jamie, another super fab LO! Oh and another thing, Artfuldelight is now on Facebook so hop on over and "like" me so you can get all the latest updates. Soon I will also have giveaways exclusively for my Facebook fans. Oh and my weekly challenge ends in 3 days so be sure to get in on the action for your chance to win some great prizes.

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Hey friend

Good Morning friends. Today I have a card to share using a fabulous stamp set from Practicing Creativity Design. This set has been out for a while but this is my first time using it. I think it is fabulous and I can't believe I waited so long to crack open the package. LOL!

The colors were chosen from Off the Wall Craftiness' Color Challenge. I love her color challenges. As much as I would love to enter her challenge every week, for some reason I have only been able to enter a few. The weeks just seem to fly by. Anywho, here is my card:

Again I used the stamp set from PCD called Key to My Heart. I have all of PCD's stamp sets available in my store, she has 10 total and I LOVE every single one of them. She actually just released 2 new sets for the holidays. One is called Fall Fest and the other one is Christmas Wonder. The super cool thing about Christmas Wonder is the fabulously talented Karen Baker designed the set. Check out Artfuldelight and all of PCD's stamp sets.

I used crystal effects from Stampin' UP! to color over the red diamonds as well as on the keys. And there ya have it. I hope y'all have a great day, I have some homework to do. I have 2 tests next week. One in Accounting and one in Math. I plan on get an A++++ on my Math test but the Accounting one, that's a different story. My brain hurts every day after Accounting class. LOL!

More Fabulousness

Is that even close to being a word? Probably not, LOL! Well either way I have another fabulous LO to share with you from Jamie. She really knows how to rock out the September Monthly kit. I think she managed to use one of everything in the kit in this LO! See here is the best thing about being a subscriber of our monthly kit, starting in November if you are a subscriber you will be able to help chose the kits. If there is some product you are dying to get your hands on, we can make a kit out of it. There will still only be one kit a month but I will accept and try to accommodate any and all product selections.
Basically if an upcoming months kit items have not been decided (purchased)yet then we will make the kit with what you want in it. With so many products out there I want to make sure you, as a subscriber, are happy with your monthly purchase.

Ok, on to the LO.....

Seriously, I love it!! Can you see the little apple chipboard in the bottom corner? I thought those were such a cute addition to the kit. I really think Jamie did a great job finding these items.

Have a sunshine day!

Did ya'll check out the LO I posted yesterday that DT member Jamie created, oh it was splendid! I really liked the way it turned out. If you didn't get a chance to see it, click here to check it out. That post is packed with goodness....a fabulous LO and a challenge with a giveaway. So be sure to clickety click and check it out. I will have another creation in the morning from Jamie and don't forget she is using products from our September Monthly Kit, click here to find the details and pricing.

Well now for today's project, this card I made the other day during one of my very few times I get to craft.
Ok so when I first saw this collection kit from Crate Paper called Brook, I KNEW I had to have it. If ya'll have been around a little bit you would see that most of my cards on a Kraft card base. I LOVE Kraft and so thought the papers from this collection would go PERFECT with Kraft. Boy was I right. These papers are fabulous, the colors are amazing, I just love it.

The flower in the middle is actually 3 separate die cuts from that collection that I layered to make one big flower and added a brad which is from Basic Grey. I did a little sewing stitch around the edge and used on of the sentiments from my stamp set. Now I know I did a little release with that a couple weeks ago but I still haven't formally named the set and I will have that all done and complete in the next week or so and will have it stocked around the first of October. The sentiment is a little light because I used Chestnut Roan Colorbox Chalk Ink and I guess I didn't push hard enough, I HATE when that happens. LOL!

Anywho, hope you like the card and don't forget to check out yesterdays post. :-) Oh, I can't believe I forgot to mention that the Brook Collection Kit from Crate Paper is available at Artfuldelight.com and there is a fabulously cheap price attached to it, check it out!!
