Tickled

Good Morning!! Today is my sweet Isabel's 4th birthday!! Happy Birthday to my beautiful baby girl!!

Oh how I love her so much!!!  :-)

Today I have more inspiration to share with you.  Our Delightful Designer, Missy, created this adorable LO!

 MISSY

Simply amazing!! LOVE it!!  That's it for today, be sure to stop by tomorrow.  :-)

Ok, so the job prospect for Tony didn't pan out.  I am a bit stressed now.  If any of my readers live in Arizona (Phoenix area) and know of any management positions that are open (restaurants or grocery stores) please let me know.  Tony has a solid resume but I feel we are both at a disadvantage since we aren't out there.  We will be out there in 2 weeks and I would really like to have jobs.  :-)

Horsin' Around

Happy Monday! Well it isn't really happy, this week Monday is not my favorite, I have to work the next 4 days. No biggie I guess but time is getting short until we leave and I feel I have a lot to do. As of today we are down to 15 days. Oy vey!!! But the truck is scheduled, the car transport for Tony's car is scheduled, our hotels are booked, our utilities are scheduled to be turned on, hmmmmmm, what else? LOL!! I just feel there is still a ton of stuff in our house that either needs to be packed or thrown away but can't really do that until the last day. It will all come together!! :-)

I have another LO to share with you that Marcia created using our July scrapbook kit!

MARCIA

I love all the misting and masking!  Fabulous LO!!  We still have some kits left, pick your up today before they are all gone.  Also around the 1st of August there may be a delay in shipping for that first week.  So order your kits and other products early.

Don't forget we will have the kit reveal on Thursday this week so if you are eager to see what we will be offering in August be sure to stop by on Thursday.  We will have more inspiration this week too using the July kit so be sure to check it out.

You are my sunshine - Tutorial

TGIF!!!!  So excited the weekend is here.  I don't work today or Sunday and I only have to work a couple hours on Saturday in the morning.  Tony has off tomorrow so I think we are going to celebrate my daughters birthday.  I have the pleasure of celebrating two birthdays this month. My sweet daughter Isabel will turn 4 on the 17th and my handsome son Tony will turn 5 on the 27th.  I don't think a day goes by that I don't think to myself how much I LOVE my children.  They bring such joy to my life and I couldn't imagine my life without my kids.

I am so excited to be able to share with you a tutorial today.  Our Delightful Designer, Karen, has a very inspiring tutorial to share with you.

Here is Karen's tutorial:

Ever wonder what to do with those itty bitty stamps included in sets? Try reaching outside the box and use them by themselves to create cool and funky backgrounds through multiple stamping! Let me quickly show you two ways on how to do this, both creating a huge impact! My cards today feature the stamps from Lawn Fawn's Sunny Skies, the really fun and versatile set included in this month's card kit!
The first way to use the small stamps to create a background is stamping them in some sort of pattern. Start by arranging the stamps in a pleasing arrangement onto your block, in this instance I placed the small kite bow tie just a smidge under and to the right of the large bow tie. Ink up your stamp and stamp onto the paper, in this case it is the fun coral solid cardstock from this month's kit. You'll want to re-ink your stamps for each impression, but be careful not to re-arrange your stamps until your card base has been completely stamped!

Stamp again, either to the left or right, top or bottom of your first impression. You will see your pattern develop, and each impression thereafter, stamp to follow your general pattern. I wasn't very precise with the stamping on this card, but if you wanted to, you could create light guidelines with a pencil and then erase after stamping.

Once your stamping has been completed, you can end up with a completely different look then what your stamps were meant to be for! In this case, I created a modern and trendy pattern reminiscent of a textile pattern. I added a touch of color with marker and finished the card with a sentiment and the sun, all from this month's kit.

The second way to use small stamps to create a new background is to stamp one image in a random fashion, alternating the position of the stamp as  you go, onto your card stock (the lovely yellow paper is from this month's kit too!). I find that keeping to one ink color on most of your outlined images help create solidified background pattern better than using multiple colors. To finish this card, I added a touch of monochromatic shading with a marker, and added a banner and sentiment from two other Lawn Fawn sets.

I hope that you are inspired to take a closer look at the small stamps included in your sets and create a cool, new, and totally unique background!

Thanks Karen for that awesome tutorial.  I can't wait to get to craft  again because I will certainly be trying that technique!!

Enjoy The Ride

Good Morning! I have a super cute LO to share with you today! Our Delightful Designer, Debbie, created this fabulous LO!

 DEBBIE

Love all the layers.  I cannot wait to move.  I am at the point where I haven't crafted in about 3 months and it's killing me.  LOL!!  I will have my own craft room at the new house and I CANNOT wait to set up my space.  :-)

Don't forget to play along with this month's sketch challenge.  You have two sketches to play with which means two chances to win.  Upload your project by July 23rd for your chance to win.

Also we will be having our August kit reveal a little early this month.  I am planning on revealing the kit on Thursday, July 19th.  Be sure to check it out, this kit is amazing.  Also kits will be shipping sooner than the 1st as well.  You will still be able to place orders while I am on the road and they will have a 2-3 business day processing time.

Reach For The Sky

Good Morning!! YAY, for the week being almost over. I hope you aren't tired of my count down to my move.....we are now officially less than 3 weeks away. I am trying to get all my ducks in a row and have everything done that I can take care of. I have most of my utilities scheduled to be turned on. I have the movers set, I need to schedule the pick up to have our second car transported across the country. We realized that it would be cheaper to pay a company to transport our second vehicle then to have Tony take the time off work, drive it across country and then have to fly back. Plus we don't put all the added miles on the car. I also have lists written of all the stuff that needs to be fixed and cleaned before we leave. Do you ever just feel like if you don't have a set plan (written/typed on paper) that you can't put your mind at ease because you just keep thinking about how you are going to get everything done? That's how I feel.

If you are a kit subscriber or plan on purchasing our August kit I have high hopes that I will have everything together early so I can ship early.  From the 25th to the 1st of each month is usually pretty crazy in my house trying to get all the kits together and shipped,  well at that time this month will be pretty busy getting the final touches to my move all to come together.

Ok, so today is Erin day to share her projects here on our blog so let's get to it.  Check out these totally awesome projects!!

I really love the embossing on this card....Is that a Tim Holtz embossing folder??  This card and tag are just so bright and cheerful!!  Awesome projects!!  :-)

Well today is my day off and since I got the go ahead from my computer class Professor to work ahead I am actually going to work so far ahead that I should finish the class.  Then I can focus on my last few projects for my speech class. My plan  is to  finish early.  :-)

Have a wonderful day, see you back here tomorrow with some more inspiration!!  :-)

Feelin The Flowers

Good Morning!!  Today I have an awesome LO to share with you that our Delightful Designer, Missy, created using our July scrapbook kit.  :-)

MISSY
I love all the detail, the stitching on the flower stems, the distressed edges, and the fussy cutting on the pink flowers.  She used the flower stamp in the Prima stamp set (included in the kit) to make those adorable flowers!!  LOVE it.

There are still some July kits left, click here if you would like to pick one up.
