Let's start it off right......

The weekend that is. LOL!! Let's have a giveaway. First I have a question. I really do have a ton of stuff to giveaway. When it gets closer to the time I move I am going to need to get rid of all of it. And I am sure I will still have a ton of stuff even with all the giveaways I have been doing. Would any of you that enter my giveaways be willing to pay $5-$10 (towards shipping) for a big box of papers and embellishments? I have stacks and stacks of paper, and I just won't have anything to do with it. I mean I could keep it but do I really need 15 sheets of the same paper.....not really, especially since I don't get to craft much. So I may have like 5-10 boxes of stuff I could giveaway. And we all know paper is heavy and can be pricey to ship. I have a bunch of embellishments too.  So if you want to let me know in a comment (not required) if you think that would be OK to ask for a small "donation" towards shipping.  :-)

Next, I wanted to share a few pictures.  This week my daughter got her braces off.  She had them on a little over 2 years.  I think she got them Feb/March of 2010.  She was so excited.  I was excited for her.  I think I even got a little teary eyed.  LOL!!  I told Tony that we are going to need to buy tissue in bulk in a few month because for the next 5-7 years I am going to shed a lot of tears.  LOL!! I mean so many changes are going to happen.  My oldest will start driving, working, and being a little more independent.  My oldest boy will start kindergarten.  Next fall my youngest daughter will start kindergarten.  The following year my daughter will be a senior and graduating.  And the year after that my baby will be starting kindergarten.  Oh boy, I am getting teary eyed just thinking about it.  I think I cried every year for about 4-5 years with Nicki at the start of the school year.  Just seeing my baby walk in to school all independent it just made me so sad.  LOL!!

Alright on to the pictures.

Next is a picture of my Mother's Day gift.  I found it on Etsy and jokingly sent a picture to Tony telling him he could get it for me.  Little did I know he did.  LOL!!  (I also got a fabulous pedicure for Mother's Day)

Gifts like this mean more to me than some expensive diamond or something.  Anything handmade by my kids or anything to do with my kids means a lot.  I told Tony the other day if he is going to buy me a wedding ring (Lol, nope not married yet) I don't want a traditional diamond.  I want something that has my kids birthstones or something.  There will be a diamond though because Nicki's birthday is in April.  :-)

I also did a little manicure.....

Please excuse around the cuticles, I just did it when I took this picture and I hadn't gotten all the polish off. I am not sure if any of you follow Kristina Werner's blog but she got me hooked on Konad nail stamping oh maybe a year or so ago (maybe less than that).  But not only does she have her craft blog but she started a nail blog.  Oh my.  I went and spent $20 on polish last night so I can try a new technique she shared on her blog. Have any of you tried Konad stamping?

Now on to the giveaway part.  I have another random box of goodies to giveaway.  :-)  Just leave me a comment and you will be entered to win.  :-)

I will leave this open until May 15 at 11:59pm EST.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

I know that shipping costs have gotten crazy over the years. I used to buy things from Ebay all the time....now the shipping costs more than the item! For a fairly sized package of scrappy stash, I would have no problem contributing. As long as it's not 15 sheets of the same paper! lol

I wouls be more than happy to donate towards the shipping on a big box of goodies if I won, Leanne. I love your nails and I follow Kristine's blog as well. I haven't taken the plunge and bought any of the Konad products yet however. I love your Mother's Day gift as well.

aww what a sweet mother's day gift...sounds like you girls are having a great time...

I think it is ok to ask for shipping..Mailing paper can get expensive... You could even have a box sale and just sell the boxes. I have seen people to that too...but who doesn't love a giveaway...

Have a wonderful Mother's Day..

Absolutely ok to ask for a contribution to shipping so long as you are clear in the original post about the giveaway. Anyone who isn't willing to help with shipping can skip the entry. And I love to get supplies that someone else didn't use. Its so much fun to see how one person's trash can be another's treasure.

Oh my...i just love love the pendant..very sentimental...i totally would pay for the shipping..and to answer your question i too purchased a konad kit and brought it to a local fair that i participate in and did kids nails. Had a blast and loved doing mine but stuck too just white on my natural nail colour as i suck at putting on colour..i get it everywhere...it came off way too soon and i haven't done my nails for a while now...where i work i use laytex gloves all day and the moisture makes it peel off...thanks for the chance at winning...and the new blog i'm sure to follow...

I totally think a small shipping charge is reasonable. You are so generous to give things as it is. Thanks for sharing and posting and providing inspiration.

I think it is PERFECTLY reasonable to ask for a donation for a giveaway - I certainly wouldn't object to it! You do some many awesome giveaways - it must be costing you a fortune! LOVING the nail stamping! Gorgeous necklace too! Would LOVE that - and how thoughtful of your hubbie to pick up on the hint that you wanted it - mine wouldn't have even noticed! LOL! Have a great day :-) x
